These subjects include your assessment of former President Biden&rsquo;s fitness for the office of the President and your financial relationship with the Biden family,&rdquo; the letter read.<\/p>\n<p>Waiving the executive privilege was appropriate, Lawkowski argued, as his testimony concerned the powers of Congress.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;After balancing the Legislative and Executive Branch interests, as required under the accommodation process, it is the President&rsquo;s view that this presents an exceptional situation in which the congressional need for information outweighs the Executive Branch&rsquo;s interest in maintaining confidentiality, especially given the Executive Branch&rsquo;s own interest in determining the validity of <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >prior executive actions<\/a>,&rdquo; he wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Lawkowski also said he was &ldquo;not requesting that agency counsel be permitted to attend the deposition.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>O&rsquo;Connor was scheduled for a congressional hearing this week. He&rsquo;s seeking to postpone it to July 28 or Aug. 4.<\/p>\n<p>O&rsquo;Connor&rsquo;s lawyer, David Schertler, wrote a letter, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/trump-administration\/live-blog\/trump-netanyahu-iran-tariff-letters-elon-musk-gop-bill-live-updates-rcna217061#rcrd84530\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"obtained by\">obtained by<\/a> NBC News, to the House Oversight Committee, seeking to delay the testimony until proper accommodations could be made.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/house\/3465318\/kevin-oconnor-denied-delay-biden-autopen-deposition-house-oversight\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"COMER REJECTS DR.
