existed to suggest &ldquo;that Epstein blackmailed prominent individuals.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>With that unbelievable conclusion in mind, on Monday former State Department official <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-karoline-leavitt-pulls-insane-list-usaid-expenditures-reporter-frets-humanitarian-aid\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mike Benz<\/a> &mdash; perhaps best described as a walking encyclopedia on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/arrest-of-telegram-ceo-marks-a-step-toward-authoritarianism\/\" title=\"Arrest Of Telegram CEO Marks A Step Toward Authoritarianism\">deep state &#038;mdash<\/a>; posted a series of screenshots reminding users that Alex Acosta, Secretary of Labor during President Donald Trump&rsquo;s first administration and the U.S. attorney who arranged Epstein&rsquo;s 2007 plea deal, reportedly said that he was once told to back off the pedophile&rsquo;s case because Epstein &ldquo;belonged to intelligence.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thedailybeast.com\/jeffrey-epsteins-sick-story-played-out-for-years-in-plain-sight\/?ref=scroll\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Daily Beast<\/a>, Acosta made that comment during an interview with members of Trump&rsquo;s first transition team.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I was told Epstein &lsquo;belonged to intelligence&rsquo; Nor do I accept that Trump, in light of his close relationship with his granddaughter <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/man-arrested-breaching-mar-lago-making-creepy-statement-kai-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kai<\/a>, for instance, would refuse justice to Epstein&rsquo;s many alleged victims.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, if Trump did plan mass arrests of Epstein&rsquo;s clients, his subordinates&rsquo; behavior would make sense. After all, public statements about the lack of credible evidence seem like a good way to lull powerful pedophiles into complacency. That, however, amounts to speculation only.<\/p>\n<p>In the end, one must decide whether and how much one trusts the president.
