In a 4-3 decision, the court found that the legislation empowering the Joint Committee for Review of administrative Rules violated the Wisconsin Constitution&#8217;s requirement for bicameralism. Chief Justice Jill karofsky, along with three liberal justices, argued that the legislature&#8217;s attempt to block state regulations was unconstitutional, thereby affirming that a small group of lawmakers should not obstruct the functioning of state agencies. This ruling allows for the reinstatement of regulations, including a ban on conversion therapy, following challenges from Governor Tony Evers against the committee&#8217;s actions. the dissenting opinion, written by Conservative Justice brian Hagedorn, criticized the majority for lacking legal analysis. One <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >indefinitely blocked commercial building code rules administered<\/a> by the Department of Safety and Professional Services, and the other suspended the rule the Marriage and Family Therapy, Professional Counseling, and Social Work Examining Board issued that served as a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-doj-released-a-115-page-rule-change-to-redefine-a-firearm-heres-what-you-need-to-know\/\" title=\"The DOJ Released A 115-Page Rule Change To Redefine A \u2018Firearm.\u2019 Here\u2019s What You Need To Know.\">de facto ban<\/a> on conversion therapy for LGBT people.<\/p>\n<p>The ruling cleared the way for the ban on conversion therapy to be enacted. In a statement, Evers touted the ruling.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/state\/3368300\/wisconsin-counties-shift-left-state-supreme-court-race\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"><strong>EVERY WISCONSIN COUNTY SHIFTED LEFT IN STATE SUPREME COURT RACE<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;It&rsquo;s pretty simple &mdash; a handful of Republican lawmakers should not be able to single-handedly and indefinitely obstruct state agencies from doing the people&rsquo;s work,&rdquo; he said in a news release.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Wisconsinites want to protect our constitutional checks and balances.
