A Palestinian official close to the talks told <em>Reuters<\/em> on Friday, &ldquo;The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/middle-east\/israeli-military-kills-15-gaza-trump-waits-hamas-response-ceasefire-proposal-2025-07-04\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Hamas response is positive<\/a>, and I think it should help and facilitate reaching a deal.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>A key condition of the ceasefire agreement is the complete release of all Israeli hostages in Gaza, of whom there are 20 still believed to be alive.<\/p>\n<p>Israeli Prime Minister <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/benjamin-netanyahu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Benjamin Netanyahu<\/a>&nbsp;is expected to meet Trump in Washington on Monday. Trump said he would be &ldquo;very firm&rdquo; with Netanyahu on the need for a ceasefire in Gaza.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/world\/3460342\/trump-israel-agrees-conditions-60-day-ceasefire-gaza\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"><strong>TRUMP SAYS ISRAEL HAS AGREED TO CONDITIONS FOR 60-DAY CEASEFIRE IN GAZA<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We hope it&rsquo;s going to happen.
