This competition takes place every Fourth of July in Coney Island, New York, and has been a tradition sence 1972. Although Chestnut&#8217;s performance was notable, it fell short of his record of 76 hot dogs set in 2021. He expressed a desire to have eaten more and plans to return next year.<\/p>\n<p>On the women&#8217;s side, Miki Sudo defended her title by consuming 33 hot dogs, though she did not meet her previous record of 51. After her performance, she noted feeling like she had let her fans down, as she had aimed for a higher goal.
