Soliman has been accused of using Molotov cocktails and a makeshift flamethrower against demonstrators advocating for the release of Israeli hostages. Following the attack,his wife,Hayam El Gamel,and their five children were detained,prompting el Gamel to plea for the family&#8217;s release from immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) custody,arguing it violated their due process rights. Judge Orlando Garcia dismissed their case, stating that the family was receiving appropriate legal process and noting that they still have options to seek release while removal proceedings continue. They were taken to the Dilley Immigration Processing Center in West Texas.<\/p>\n<p>The couple&rsquo;s offspring range in age from 4 to 18, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2025\/06\/18\/us\/colorado-attack-suspect-family-ice-detention\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CNN<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>El Gamel went to court to stop <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/developing-boulder-suspect-biden-illegal-overstayed-visa-biden-let-stay-even-longer-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">deportation<\/a> proceedings and requested that the family be free from detention.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Colorado Attacker&mdash;Mohamed Sabry Soliman, 43, is in the U.S. illegally and is a suspect in an &ldquo;act of terrorism&rdquo; that happened on a pedestrian mall in Boulder, Colorado, on June 1, 2025.
