However, a report from the American farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) indicates that the costs for a typical July 4 cookout in 2025 are expected to show some relief, with prices falling slightly from previous years. the total cost for a cookout for ten guests is projected to be approximately $70.92,a decrease from the 2024 high of $71.22, yet still higher than the $52.80 in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Despite rising prices for many items during President Joe Biden&#8217;s governance, the report suggests that prices for common cookout staples, such as chicken and pork, are beginning to stabilize due to improvements in supply chains and decreasing production costs. This trend is attributed to a slowdown in inflation, as reflected by a 2.4% increase in the Consumer Price Index for May, which is a significant drop from the 5% increase seen when Biden took office.<\/p>\n<p>While costs remain relatively high compared to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/shoppers-hit-the-stores-for-black-friday-sales\/\" title=\"Shoppers hit the stores for Black Friday sales\">pre-pandemic years<\/a>, the forecasted price drop indicates an easing of the inflationary pressure that has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/cornyn-becomes-first-john-to-announce-bid-for-republican-leader\/\" title=\"Cornyn is the first &#039;John&#039; to announce GOP leadership bid\">characterized recent years<\/a>, reflecting positively on economic conditions under the policies of President Donald Trump.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>For the last four years, Americans suffered through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/watch-mcconnell-blasts-democrats-bernie-sanders-for-record-inflation\/\" title=\"WATCH: McConnell Blasts Democrats, Bernie Sanders For Record ...\">record-high inflation<\/a> that threatened to derail backyard barbecues across the nation. That cost curse, however, is expected to change as year-over-year inflation rates under President Donald Trump hit lows unseen under President Joe Biden.<\/p>\n<p>Prices, no doubt, are higher during Trump&rsquo;s second term than they were during his first. Yet Independence Day party hosts and goers will get some reprieve this year compared to the Biden administration-induced inflation that plagued their grilling in years past.<\/p>\n<p>According to the American Farm Bureau Federation&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fb.org\/news-release\/cost-of-summer-cookout-nearly-unchanged-from-2024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">latest report<\/a>, a July 4 cookout including cheeseburgers, pork chops, chicken, potato salad, fruit, ice cream, and other picnic staples for 10 guests will cost roughly $70.92 in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>While that total remains one of the highest prices ever recorded by AFBF, up significantly from the <a href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/news\/july-4th-cookout-costs-have-hardly-budged-this-year-211212929.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">$52.80<\/a> recorded in 2019 before the Covid and Bidenflation price hikes, it is down 30 cents from the record high <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/07\/01\/americans-hit-with-record-high-july-4-cookout-costs-thanks-to-bidens-rampant-inflation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">$71.22 bill calculated in 2024. <\/a><\/p>\n<div>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>The fees for chicken breasts, pork chops, cheese, hamburger buns, and potato chips, specifically, are all down from 2024.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;After years of sharp food inflation, prices for many Fourth of July staples are finally beginning to level out,&rdquo; AFBF <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fb.org\/market-intel\/food-prices-stay-warm-as-grills-heat-up\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">admitted<\/a>. &ldquo;While some prices, particularly for proteins, will continue to be volatile due to disease pressures and labor costs, others are stabilizing thanks to improving supply chains and easing input prices.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<div>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>Last year, AFBF determined that the costs of essential cookout items were up 5 percent from the <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/06\/29\/another-year-of-bidenflation-means-more-record-breaking-independence-day-cookout-costs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >record-breaking total cost<\/a> of $67.73<\/a> that the organization calculated in 2023, when Americans paid 17 percent more for hamburger buns, 5 percent more for potato salad, 4 percent more for ground beef, and 3 percent more for strawberries and ice cream than they did in 2022.<\/p>\n<p>One of the biggest leaps, however, came in 2022 when consumers faced sticker shock that amounted to a $10 or 17 percent jump in cost from what they were paying in 2021.<\/p>\n<p>The 2025 price drop should come as no surprise to Americans. After all, the Consumer Price Index&nbsp;for May <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/06\/11\/low-inflation-numbers-refuse-to-match-the-media-narrative-on-trumps-economy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">showed a&nbsp;2.4 percent year-over-year jump<\/a>, which is significantly scaled back from the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bls.gov\/charts\/consumer-price-index\/consumer-price-index-by-category-line-chart.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">5 percent<\/a>&nbsp;climb measured at the beginning of Biden&rsquo;s term in 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Corporate media have <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/06\/11\/low-inflation-numbers-refuse-to-match-the-media-narrative-on-trumps-economy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">tried to convince<\/a> Americans that Trump-led tariffs will keep punching their pocketbooks where it hurts.
