He praised their dedication and bravery, stating that these volunteers reflect the best of America. McCormickS comments came in the wake of &#8220;Operation Midnight Hammer,&#8221; an offensive that successfully targeted Iranian nuclear sites. Despite ongoing tensions, including retaliation from Iran against a U.S. base in Qatar that involved a small number of <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >young service members<\/a>,there were no reported american casualties. It was later revealed that there were only 44 service members, ranging from 21 to 28 years old, guarding the base, and still, no American fatalities were reported. They are willing to put themselves in harm&rsquo;s way to defend all that is great about America. Over 42% are either age 25 or younger, while just over a fifth of members are between the ages of 26 and 30.<\/p>\n<p>McCormick, an Army veteran who served for five years, received a Bronze Star&nbsp;for his actions in Operation Desert Storm.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/defense\/3453677\/ted-cruz-leak-downplays-as-highly-dubious-surrounding-iran-strikes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"><strong>TED CRUZ DOWNPLAYS &lsquo;HIGHLY DUBIOUS&rsquo; LEAK SURROUNDING STRIKES ON IRAN<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Bahrain, Oman, Morocco, the Palestinian Authority, and the Muslim World League all issued <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/world\/3451309\/iran-attack-qatar-us-base-regionwide-condemnation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"condemnations\">condemnations<\/a> of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/white-house\/3451367\/trump-thanks-iran-early-notice-retaliatory-strikes-hopes-peace\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"condemnations\">attack<\/a>. However, most also condemned the U.S. strikes against Iran that happened first.<\/p>\n<p>President Donald Trump brokered a&nbsp;ceasefire&nbsp;deal between Iran and Israel, which first launched strikes at Iranian nuclear sites in Tehran over a week ago. On Monday night, Israel briefly violated the ceasefire, which promised Iran would also violate the agreement, but the two have agreed to stop.
