Scared about being pushed out of the only place they have ever called home.&rdquo;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>National Republican lawmakers have gone a step further than Sliwa, calling Mamdani an &ldquo;antisemite&rdquo; and &ldquo;Communist.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Vice President JD Vance congratulated Mamdani, painting him as the new face for Democrats, which he presumably thinks helps Republicans with their messaging. <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;&#8234;Congratulations to the new leader of the Democratic Party <a href=\"https:\/\/bsky.app\/profile\/did:plc:j5hrotody26iqi24hcusufxu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">@zohrankmamdani.bsky.social<\/a>,&rdquo; Vance wrote on <a href=\"https:\/\/bsky.app\/profile\/jd-vance-1.bsky.social\/post\/3lsflmxfbic2s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Bluesky<\/a>, an app used primarily by liberals.<\/p>\n<p>Two <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/state\/3449209\/stefanik-governor-shadow-campaign-new-york\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">potential Republican candidates<\/a> for governor of New York, Reps. Mike Lawler and<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/elise-stefanik\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"> Elise Stefanik<\/a>, have criticized Mamdani following his win. Neither has formally announced a run.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Tick tock, tick tock Kathy Hochul&hellip;&rdquo; Stefanik wrote. &ldquo;We know you are in full blown panic mode as you frantically draft and send out the congratulatory tweet to the antisemitic, jihadist, Communist candidate you helped elect in your party&rsquo;s Democrat primary because of your silence, weakness, and ineptitude. You own this dangerous insanity and are incapable of defeating it.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Gov. Kathy Hochul (D-NY), who did not weigh into the primary, said she commended that Mamdani &ldquo;built a formidable grassroots coalition.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Lawler, who once <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/lawler4ny\/status\/1494468982828580864\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">considered<\/a> Mamdani a friend in the state Assembly, criticized the governor for not weighing into the primary saying &ldquo;a radical, antisemitic socialist was just nominated to be the Democratic candidate for mayor of New York City &ndash; and Kathy Hochul didn&rsquo;t lift a finger to stop it from happening.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Across the Hudson, Republican <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/state\/3434915\/jack-ciattarelli-trump-agenda-third-run-new-jersey-governor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Jack Ciattarelli<\/a>, who is again <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/congressional\/3437797\/new-jersey-gubernatorial-race-ciattarelli-sherrill\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">running for governor<\/a> of New Jersey this year, made a pitch to New Yorkers to move to the Garden State.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;To all the residents and business owners of New York City who don&rsquo;t want a socialist, defund the police, antisemitic mayor representing them, I encourage you to move to New Jersey,&rdquo; he <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Jack4NJ\/status\/1937703171830481365\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">said<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Other Republican voices were more expressive in their reactions.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;LETS F***ING GOOOOO,&rdquo; conservative podcaster Tim Pool <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Timcast\/status\/1937707995410071791\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">wrote<\/a> after the results were in. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/state\/3434120\/new-jersey-governor-race-republicans-confident-odds-shift\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"><strong>NEW JERSEY REPUBLICANS CONFIDENT ABOUT GUBERNATORIAL WIN AS ODDS SHIFT<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Former Rep.
