as the House Judiciary Committee <a href=\"https:\/\/judiciary.house.gov\/sites\/evo-subsites\/republicans-judiciary.house.gov\/files\/evo-media-document\/2023-05-17-fbi-whistleblower-testimony-highlights-government-abuse-misallocation-of-resources-and-retaliation-sm.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">summarized<\/a>. The list of whistleblowers included special agents Steve Friend and Garret O&rsquo;Boyle, Staff Operations Specialist Marcus Allen, and Supervisory Intelligence Analyst George Hill.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2 d-flex justify-content-center\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-212531308\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1463670073398-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>As The Federalist previously <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/05\/18\/whistleblowers-expose-fbis-corruption-and-ongoing-persecution-of-political-opponents-in-damning-new-testimony\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reported<\/a>, several of the whistleblowers testified in a House committee hearing on their experiences in May 2023, in which they &ldquo;accused the FBI of engaging in a complex series of highly corrupt and partisan activities, including the manipulation of statistics, targeting of political opponents, and retaliating against whistleblowers seeking to expose the agency&rsquo;s corruption.&rdquo; With the <a href=\"https:\/\/abc3340.com\/news\/nation-world\/whistleblowers-claim-fbi-wrongfully-targeted-gun-owners-concerned-parents-marcus-allen-garret-oboyle-and-stephen-friend-weaponization-committee?photo=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">exception<\/a> of Hill (who had retired), Friend, O&rsquo;Boyle, and Allen faced suspension in apparent retaliation after filing whistleblower complaints and raising concerns about the agency&rsquo;s conduct.<\/p>\n<p>Allen &ldquo;voluntarily resigned under a settlement agreement with the FBI that includes full restoration of his pay and benefits for the entire 27 months of his suspension by the bureau,&rdquo; according to a June 2024 Washington Times <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20240827190402\/https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/news\/2024\/jun\/4\/whistleblower-marcus-allen-wins-security-clearance\/#google_vignette\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">report<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>With President Trump having returned to office and Director Kash Patel now leading the agency, The Federalist decided to reach out to the FBI to inquire about whether it is in the process of or planning to reinstate the agency whistleblowers who faced apparent retaliation under the Biden administration. The FBI did not respond to The Federalist&rsquo;s request for comment, however.<\/p>\n<p>The agency&rsquo;s refusal to answer whether it will fully reinstate officials such as <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/RealStevefriend\/status\/1932498528862949851\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Friend<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/RealStevefriend\/status\/1936858895613599786\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">O&rsquo;Boyle<\/a> comes shortly after both former agents marked 1,000 days since being placed on suspension. In a recent <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/RealStevefriend\/status\/1936858895613599786\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">X post<\/a> recognizing the latter&rsquo;s anniversary, Friend called O&rsquo;Boyle&rsquo;s continued punishment &ldquo;unconscionable.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;My buddy &#8294;@GOBactual&#8297; reached 1,000 days of indefinite, unpaid suspension from the FBI today. The FBI already determined he didn&rsquo;t commit any infractions. This is retaliation against him for making whistleblower disclosures to Congress,&rdquo; Friend wrote.<\/p>\n<p><strong>[READ:[READ:<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/07\/02\/new-whistleblower-report-corroborates-charges-of-fbi-retaliation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">New Whistleblower Report Corroborates Charges Of FBI Retaliation<\/a>]<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In his House&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/05\/18\/whistleblowers-expose-fbis-corruption-and-ongoing-persecution-of-political-opponents-in-damning-new-testimony\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">testimony<\/a>, O&rsquo;Boyle told the story of how the FBI purportedly &ldquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/judiciary.house.gov\/sites\/evo-subsites\/republicans-judiciary.house.gov\/files\/evo-media-document\/oboyle-testimony.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">allowed [him] to accept<\/a>&rdquo; a position in the country after he filed his whistleblower complaint. It was only after he had sold his house and moved &ldquo;halfway across the country&rdquo; that the agency suspended him, according to the Army combat veteran.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;They allowed us to sell my family&rsquo;s home. They ordered me to report to the new unit when our youngest daughter was only&nbsp;<em>two weeks old<\/em>.
