And we actually have had over 100 cases in the courts where we&rsquo;ve had a very good record of success. So Donald Trump, infuriated by that success, said judges should be impeached,&rdquo; Schumer said. &ldquo;Democrats in the Senate will not impeach judges. Full stop.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;And democracy is at risk. Look, Donald Trump is a lawless, angry man. He thinks he should be king. He thinks he should do whatever he wants, regardless of the law, and he thinks judges should just listen to him,&rdquo; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/congress\/chuck-schumer-lawless-trump-constitutional-crisis-rcna197188\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Schumer<\/a> stated.<\/p>\n<p>But Trump pointing out judicial overreach doesn&rsquo;t put &ldquo;democracy &hellip; at risk&rdquo; any more than Schumer did when he warned about the dangers of unelected judges dictating national policy.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;[R]ight-wing activists are exploiting the current makeup of the judicial system to circumvent the legislation process and overturn the will of the American people. &hellip; We can&rsquo;t let unelected judges thrash our democracy,&rdquo;&nbsp;Schumer&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/links-1.govdelivery.com\/CL0\/https:%2F%2Fwww.democrats.senate.gov%2Fnewsroom%2Fpress-releases%2Fafter-texas-district-court-defies-necessary-judicial-conference-policy-leader-schumer-and-senate-democrats-introduce-legislation-to-stop-corrupt-practice-of-judge-shopping\/1\/01000197a2369008-1c252227-3888-4124-bdfc-9c49ebeaf879-000000\/tl6xDGxbaA9CtuVNv5z6D2uErqcETRXSUdZakwoZVOE=410\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a> on April 10, 2024.&nbsp;Schumer&rsquo;s comments were highlighted in a recent release from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.judiciary.senate.gov\/press\/rep\/releases\/what-theyve-said-democrats-flip-flop-on-injunctions-to-suit-partisan-aims\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Senate Judiciary Committee<\/a> pointing out Democrats&rsquo; hypocrisy on nationwide injunctions.<\/p>\n<p>Schumer was hardly alone. Senate Judiciary Democrats one year prior <a href=\"https:\/\/links-1.govdelivery.com\/CL0\/https:%2F%2Fx.com%2FJudiciaryDems%2Fstatus%2F1648377076506935306\/1\/01000197a2369008-1c252227-3888-4124-bdfc-9c49ebeaf879-000000\/YKLmyBY7qWz03OX7wyX3C0BL20hYPs4kont5k5rFZoY=410\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a>: &ldquo;In the coming days, the Supreme Court is expected to decide if one activist judge can single-handedly disregard decades of medical consensus.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Or take Senate Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Dick Durbin in April of 2023 who <a href=\"https:\/\/links-1.govdelivery.com\/CL0\/https:%2F%2Fx.com%2FSenatorDurbin%2Fstatus%2F1645096781854699520\/1\/01000197a2369008-1c252227-3888-4124-bdfc-9c49ebeaf879-000000\/S5jwMND0j_BunLfDrlrnCswzNBw6TOOJzo8gbqth0-g=410\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">stated<\/a>: &ldquo;This weekend, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/scotus-skeptical-of-biden-admins-deportation-policy\/\" title=\"SCOTUS Skeptical of Biden Admin&#039;s Deportation Policy\">single federal judge<\/a> in Texas issued a decision that seeks to deny millions of women across the country access to an FDA-approved medication. &hellip;&rdquo; He also asserted that the injunction was a &ldquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/links-1.govdelivery.com\/CL0\/https:%2F%2Fx.com%2FSenatorDurbin%2Fstatus%2F1645096785080188930\/1\/01000197a2369008-1c252227-3888-4124-bdfc-9c49ebeaf879-000000\/_oDYej0KiE9HXxbpLhlBomLuqZg5WCKINq11ifovd4s=410\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">draconian ruling<\/a>.&rdquo;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Rhode Island Democrat Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse warned in May of 2024 that judges are usurping the authority of the Congressional branches with their decisions. &ldquo;Appellate courts can make sweeping decisions endangering the American principle that policy-making belongs in elected branches and not with judges,&rdquo;&nbsp;Whitehouse&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/links-1.govdelivery.com\/CL0\/https:%2F%2Fx.com%2FSenWhitehouse%2Fstatus%2F1790858850863562908\/1\/01000197a2369008-1c252227-3888-4124-bdfc-9c49ebeaf879-000000\/MacDRZAhuxUl9_b-rkBbzT99tqfkFgYhiahJFpy1iHo=410\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The Constitution&rsquo;s &lsquo;case or controversy&rsquo; requirement protects against <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >free-range judicial policy-making &#038;hellip<\/a>;&rdquo;&nbsp;Whitehouse&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/links-1.govdelivery.com\/CL0\/https:%2F%2Fx.com%2FSenWhitehouse%2Fstatus%2F1790858852222517610\/1\/01000197a2369008-1c252227-3888-4124-bdfc-9c49ebeaf879-000000\/geeYrbY_tB6poH889hHXEpJjq3wcTM--Jlc0oWUe4Us=410\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/links-1.govdelivery.com\/CL0\/https:%2F%2Fx.com%2FSenWhitehouse%2Fstatus%2F1808136488070049973\/1\/01000197a2369008-1c252227-3888-4124-bdfc-9c49ebeaf879-000000\/C4GjWCHkfXQzd3Mf6wAFHez4RWfVflhcCpV2CoOSubA=410\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">adding<\/a> several weeks later that &ldquo;the Constitution limits courts to deciding individual cases or controversies, not writing &lsquo;decisions for the ages,&rsquo; to keep unaccountable judicial power in check.&rdquo;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Democrat Hawaii Sen. Mazie Hirono&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/links-1.govdelivery.com\/CL0\/https:%2F%2Fwww.hirono.senate.gov%2Fnews%2Fpress-releases%2Fhirono-introduces-legislation-to-combat-judge-shopping-and-strengthen-integrity-of-federal-courts\/1\/01000197a2369008-1c252227-3888-4124-bdfc-9c49ebeaf879-000000\/6aqTpJBuk0u8jCNmlwyE35W0JXYLUl-ZHoZubOFw35o=410\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a>&nbsp;on April 26, 2023, that &ldquo;activist plaintiffs should not be able to hand-pick individual judges to set nationwide policy.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Supreme Court Justice Elena&nbsp;Kagan&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/links-1.govdelivery.com\/CL0\/https:%2F%2Freason.com%2Fvolokh%2F2022%2F09%2F14%2Fjustice-kagan-enters-the-debate-on-the-national-injunction%2F\/1\/01000197a2369008-1c252227-3888-4124-bdfc-9c49ebeaf879-000000\/Zx7XI-THRBqCnBYteAfGnQEbQuO-PgTFnVBqDiVzi30=410\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a>&nbsp;on September 14, 2022, that &ldquo;It just can&rsquo;t be right that one district judge can stop a nationwide policy in its tracks and leave it stopped for the years that it takes to go through the normal process.&rdquo;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>And yet everything Democrats warned about before Trump returned to office is exactly what they&rsquo;re either now celebrating or dismissing.<\/p>\n<p>Some examples of judicial tyranny include District Court Judge John McConnell Jr., who issued a temporary restraining order in February blocking Trump from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/judge-blocking-trump-spending-freeze-likened-trump-to-a-tyrant\/\" title=\"Judge Blocking ... Spending Freeze Likened ... To A &#039;Tyrant&#039;\">pausing federal spending<\/a> after Trump issued a freeze to assess the mass waste and abuse of taxpayer dollars. Notably, McConnell had <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/02\/12\/judge-blocking-trump-spending-freeze-likened-trump-to-tyrant-in-unearthed-video\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">seemingly compared<\/a> Trump to a tyrant and said it is the &ldquo;courts&rdquo; that have been responsible for keeping the country on track. Then there was Colorado Federal Judge Gordon Gallagher &mdash; a Biden appointee &mdash; who <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/06\/04\/biden-appointed-judge-blocks-trump-from-deporting-family-of-radical-islamist-terrorist\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">blocked<\/a> the Trump administration from deporting the family of radical Islamist terrorist <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/06\/05\/how-long-will-trump-let-rogue-judges-break-the-law-to-help-gangsters-and-terrorists\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Mohamed Soliman<\/a>. Soliman allegedly set a dozen Jewish demonstrators on fire during a recent peaceful demonstration calling for the release of hostages.<\/p>\n<p>And on Monday night, a <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/06\/24\/rogue-federal-judge-openly-defies-supreme-court-ruling-on-deportation-of-violent-criminal-illegals\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">rogue federal judge<\/a> openly defied the Supreme Court, claiming a ruling from the highest court of the land is irrelevant and that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/texas-law-enforcement-deputized-ordered-to-arrest-rogue-democratic-lawmakers-immediately\/\" title=\"Texas Law Enforcement Deputized, Ordered To Arrest Rogue Democratic Lawmakers \u2018Immediately\u2019\">lower court order<\/a> still remains in effect.<\/p>\n<p>As <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/03\/21\/rogue-judges-are-turning-judicial-review-into-judicial-rule\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">described<\/a> in these pages by Justin Evan Smith, these rulings are not &ldquo;judicial review, but judicial rule.&rdquo; Both parties have warned about judicial supremacy. But now, with Trump back in office, Democrats are accusing Trump of creating a constitutional crisis by saying what Democrats had said previously &mdash; not because they mean it, but because, as Schumer said, it&rsquo;s part of Democrats&rsquo; strategy to undermine the Trump administration.<\/p>\n<p>Faced with a despotic judiciary, <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/05\/29\/trump-should-buck-rogue-judges-not-buckle-to-them\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Trump<\/a> must refuse obedience to a faction of activist judges who are attempting to seize powers never granted to them. <\/p>\n<p>As I&rsquo;ve <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/06\/05\/how-long-will-trump-let-rogue-judges-break-the-law-to-help-gangsters-and-terrorists\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">written<\/a> before, &ldquo;There is a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/how-long-will-trump-let-rogue-judges-help-gangsters-and-terrorists\/\" title=\"How Long Will ...\u00a0Let ...
