End Wokeness (@EndWokeness) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/EndWokeness\/status\/1933931942547726399?\">June 14, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The post from End Wokeness has racked up over 2.3 million views since it was published Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Rather than a missive in favor of diversity gestures, the 2007 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2007\/08\/05\/world\/americas\/05iht-diversity.1.6986248.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">article<\/a> about a study of diversity by political scientist Robert Putnam warned that &ldquo;the greater the diversity in a community, the fewer people vote and the less they volunteer, the less they give to charity and work on community projects.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>In the same way, the article, titled &ldquo;The downside of diversity,&rdquo; offered the clear-eyed conclusion that &ldquo;virtually all measures of civic health are lower in more diverse settings.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The article even noted how relevant the findings were to American life at the time, noting that &ldquo;with demographic trends already pushing the nation inexorably toward greater <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/doj-opens-civil-rights-investigation-us-university-dei-framework\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">diversity<\/a>, the real question may yet lie ahead: how to handle the unsettling social changes that Putnam&rsquo;s research predicts.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Today, the New York Times would consider these questions, which they themselves were asking less than two decades ago, virulent right-wing hate speech that probably came from the presses of Alex Jones, not the paper of record.<\/p>\n<p>Social media commenters were quick to notice the pivot.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This is what a real newspaper does,&rdquo; one user <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/guy_leisure\/status\/1934039382669091145\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Did the NYT just [accidentally] commit some truth?&rdquo; another <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/1sttimeer\/status\/1934259983266332995\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">asked<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;NYT is going to get boycotted by the Left now for this,&rdquo;
