Both players received flagrant 2 fouls; a designation that incurs fines and counts towards a player&#8217;s behavior points, with five points leading too a suspension. The incidents began with a conflict involving Caitlin Clark, who was pushed to the ground by Mabrey after an altercation arose from Clark being poked in the eye by a Sun player. Although initially not ejected, mabrey&#8217;s actions were later reviewed and deemed worthy of punishment. Pushing and shoving began until Mabrey knocked Clark down.<\/p>\n<p>At the time, she was assessed a technical foul.<\/p>\n<p>After the game, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/wnba-concludes-investigation-fan-racism-angel-reese-findings-exactly-expect\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">officiating<\/a> crew chief Ashley Gloss said, &ldquo;[T]he contact made by Mabrey did not rise to the level of an ejection. Additionally, [it] did not meet the criteria for a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/i-am-sick-of-the-sissification-of-the-game-espns-jeff-van-gundy-thinks-the-nba-has-gone-soft\/\" title=\"\u2018I Am Sick Of The Sissification Of The ...\u2019: ESPN\u2019s Jeff Van Gundy Thinks The NBA Has Gone Soft\">flagrant foul penalty<\/a> two.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>But an <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >additional review changed<\/a> that ruling.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/furious-indiana-fever-coach-wants-big-changes-caitlin-clark-gets-flattened-knew-going-happen\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cunningham<\/a> was also punished for an incident that took place with 46 seconds left in a Fever rout of the Sun.
