Baby Barack! That&rsquo;s certainly, you know, a <em>take<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>First, at a macro level: If the Democrats are a party that&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/desperate-democrats-pouring-millions-fixing-major-party-problem-will-work\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">spent millions upon millions of dollars on a proposal<\/a> called &ldquo;Speaking with American Men: A Strategic Plan&rdquo; to &ldquo;study the syntax, language and content that gains attention and virality in these spaces,&rdquo; as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2025\/05\/25\/us\/politics\/democratic-party-voters.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The New York Times<\/a> reported last month, it probably doesn&rsquo;t help to have one of the most prominent figures in your party continuing to treat one whole gender as if <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/desperate-democrats-ideas-now-trotting-michelle-obama-lecture-men\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">it&rsquo;s a problem to be solved<\/a>, not a voting bloc you can&rsquo;t continue to lose bigly in. Just saying.<\/p>\n<p>At a micro level, though, it must be pointed out that these remarks emphasize one of the more, ahem, <em>unusual<\/em> aspects of the former first couple&rsquo;s relationship as of late.<\/p>\n<p>Rumors began swirling &mdash; as rumors are wont to do &mdash; after the former first couple stopped appearing in public together, for the most part, especially on the campaign trail in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>That swirl became a veritable tornado after Michelle <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/fact-check-michelle-obama-skip-jimmy-carters-funeral-avoid-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">missed the funeral of former President Jimmy Carter in January<\/a>; every other living former first lady made it there. That tornado reached F5 on the Fujita scale after Michelle gave her reasons for missing the funeral, which literally boiled down to her saying, &ldquo;I&rsquo;m choosing me.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I chose to do what was best for me, not what I had to do,&rdquo; she said during an April <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/articles\/cly883py5elo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">interview<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;And that&rsquo;s the thing that we as women, I think we struggle with, like, disappointing people,&rdquo; Obama continued. &ldquo;I mean, so much so that this year people <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/whistleblower-democrats-stole-votes-for-joe-biden-from-every-developmentally-disabled-person-in-milwaukee-homes-she-spoke-with\/\" title=\"Whistleblower: Democrats Stole Votes for Joe Biden from Every Developmentally Disabled Per... in Milwaukee Homes She Spoke With\">couldn&#038;rsquo<\/a>;t even fathom that I was making a choice for myself that they had to assume that my husband and I are divorcing.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This couldn&rsquo;t be a grown woman just making a set of decisions for herself, right?&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Again, this is definitely&nbsp;<em>a take<\/em>. And then we have this: Is there possibly any greater insult a wife can levy in public than saying they wouldn&rsquo;t want a male child because it would turn out like their husband &mdash; a man secularly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/liberals-desperate-can-ask-1-question-barack-obama\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">worshipped by the Democratic Party eight years after he left office<\/a>?<\/p>\n<p>Oh well. At least we finally agree on something. Apropos of nothing here, by the way: Thanks for treating <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/future-politician-barron-trump-honored-gives-answer-rnc-delegate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Barron<\/a> like a human being with self-respect and dignity, Melania.
