The runoff between Waites and Hubbard is July 15. The winner will face Republican incumbent Fitz Johnson, who did not have opposition.<\/p>\n<p>Candidates are required to live in their district but all Georgia voters decide the seats. Turnout was very low. More than 125,000 Democratic voters cast ballots in both races. Just over 63,000 voters decided the contest between Echols and Muns while 54,451 cast a ballot in Johnson&rsquo;s uncontested race,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/results.sos.ga.gov\/results\/public\/Georgia\/elections\/2025PSCPrimary\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">according to the results<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Public Service Commission oversees the state&rsquo;s utilities. Brian Kemp said when&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecentersquare.com\/georgia\/article_9cbf7e79-1178-4475-9ab6-f6feb3c321e7.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">announcing the rate agreement in May<\/a>. &ldquo;We are talking about an <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >upcoming primary election<\/a> for down ballot offices that&rsquo;ll have to be decided in November.
