FBI Director Kash Patel (@FBIDirectorKash) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/FBIDirectorKash\/status\/1934797478609477704?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 17, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/span> <\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>A once-hidden report alleges that China was making <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/06\/17\/us-news\/fbi-delivers-intel-to-congress-on-alleged-chinese-plot-to-interfere-in-2020-election\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">thousands<\/a> of fake U.S. driver&rsquo;s licenses for use in the 2020 election to validate bogus mail-in ballots. The exact contents of that report, however, are under committee investigation because of how it was handled during former President Joe Biden&rsquo;s administration. If the report is true, it would be one of the strongest confirmations to date that the 2020 presidential election was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Rigged-Media-Democrats-Seized-Elections\/dp\/168451259X\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">rigged<\/a>, as many have argued.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2 d-flex justify-content-center\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-326735234\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1463670073398-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The current conversation about this report started when Committee Chair Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, sent Patel and Attorney General Pam Bondi a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grassley.senate.gov\/imo\/media\/doc\/grassley_to_doj_fbi_-_august_2020.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">May 5 letter <\/a>seeking certain documents, including the Sept. 25, 2020, Intelligence Information Report (IIR) from the FBI&rsquo;s Albany Field Office. In that letter, Grassley indicated that he had requested numerous documents during the previous administration, and his requests went unfulfilled.<\/p>\n<p>Patel declassified documents, including the Sept. 25 IIR, and handed them over to the committee. Neither the FBI nor Grassley&rsquo;s office was willing to share the IIR publicly when asked on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>The IIR has raised more questions, and in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grassley.senate.gov\/imo\/media\/doc\/grassley_to_fbi_-_iir.pdf\">June<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.grassley.senate.gov\/imo\/media\/doc\/grassley_to_fbi_-_iir.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">  17 letter<\/a>, Grassley asked Patel for more information related to the IIR &ldquo;to better understand the decision-making process of your predecessor&rsquo;s FBI.&rdquo; Patel&rsquo;s predecessor is former FBI Director Christopher Wray.<\/p>\n<p>According to Grassley&rsquo;s letter, The IIR was &ldquo;recalled in order to re-interview the source,&rdquo; and IIR recipients had been instructed to &ldquo;destroy all copies of the original report and remove the original report from all computer holdings.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Patel told <a href=\"https:\/\/justthenews.com\/accountability\/political-ethics\/fbi-gives-congress-intel-alleged-chinese-plot-create-fake-mail\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Just the News,<\/a> that the documents and report he gave the committee included &ldquo;allegations of plans from the CCP to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/2020-election-fraud-bombshell-patel-discovers-suppressed-fbi-docs-claiming-china-fake-id-mail-in-voting-plot-to-elect-biden\/\" title=\"2020 Election Fraud Bombshell: Patel Discovers Suppressed ... Docs Claiming China ... ID, Mail-in Voting ... to Elect Biden\">manufacture fake driver&#038;rsquo<\/a>;s licenses and ship them into the United States for the purpose of facilitating fraudulent mail-in ballots &mdash; allegations which, while substantiated, were abruptly recalled and never disclosed to the public.&rdquo; &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Grassley wants &ldquo;all records relating to [the] re-interview&rdquo; of that source; email conversations between FBI agents in relation to this case, and details about who decided to recall the IIR, the rationale&nbsp;for that recall, and an explanation for why Wray &ldquo;required the original IIR to be destroyed, whether this practice is consistent with the FBI&rsquo;s past and current practice, and how it comports with federal record preservation requirements.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>By July 1 Grassley wants to know what investigations the FBI has done, or plans to do, to assess the accuracy of the allegations in the IIR.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\">\n<div class=\"article-author-description fst-italic\">      Beth Brelje is an elections correspondent for The Federalist.
