And I never heard anybody say anything really. I mean, how does that happen?&rdquo; Pettitte told Ainsley Earhardt on Fox Nation&rsquo;s<em> Ainsley&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/christians\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Bible Study<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>After admitting he was not a big <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/baseball\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">baseball<\/a> fan growing up, besides watching the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/chicago\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Chicago Cubs<\/a> after school, Pettitte said he realized the significance of being drafted and having a baseball career when he thought about the history of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/new-york\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Yankees<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I thank God for giving me the opportunity to play here. I thank God for giving me the platform that he gave me to be able to &mdash; during my career, I tried the best I could to share my faith and to hopefully lead others toward Christ. He&rsquo;s done something wrong. I&rsquo;d turn around and just look at my players. You know what I mean? Like, you ready to go? And them boys, they were always ready to go.
