In a defense of Israel&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/nobel-peace-prize-the-most-controversial-winners\/\" title=\"Nobel Peace Prize: The Most Controversial Winners\">military actions<\/a> against Iran&#8217;s nuclear program, Netanyahu alleged that Iran orchestrated these plots through various proxies. He pointed to a July incident where a shooter fired at Trump during a rally in Pennsylvania, as well as a second attempt at Trump International Golf Club in Florida. Trump has faced increased protection due to these threats, which intelligence identified as connected to Iranian plans. Of course not. So we&rsquo;re defending ourselves, but we&rsquo;re also defending the world,&rdquo; the Israeli prime minister said in an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/video\/6374323669112\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"interview \">interview<\/a> with Fox News&rsquo;s Bret Baier.<\/p>\n<p>Baier pressed Netanyahu on the claim, asking him, &ldquo;Do you have intel that the assassination attempts on President Trump were directly from Iran?&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Netanyahu responded, &ldquo;Through proxies, yes. Through their intel, yes. They want to kill him.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Trump faced two assassination attempts on the campaign trail in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>The first was at a July rally in Butler, <a href=\"http:\/\/washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/pennsylvania\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Pennsylvania<\/a>, when 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks fired at Trump from the roof of a nearby building, grazing Trump&rsquo;s ear. Seconds later Crooks was shot and killed by U.S. Secret Service.<\/p>\n<p>While Crooks&rsquo;s motive for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/amnesty-international-strips-aleksei-navalny-of-prisoner-of-conscience-status-for-decades-old-comments-on-immigration\/\" title=\"Amnesty International Strips Aleksei Navalny Of \u2018Prisoner Of Conscience\u2019 Status For Decades-Old Comments On Immigration\">assassination attempt<\/a> remains unknown, Secret Service <a href=\"https:\/\/www.the-independent.com\/news\/world\/americas\/us-politics\/donald-trump-iran-assassination-plot-b2580867.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"increased protection\">increased protection<\/a> for Trump weeks before the Butler rally after discovering an Iranian plot to assassinate him.<\/p>\n<p>The second assassination attempt was a mere two months later. At Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, 58-year-old&nbsp;Ryan Wesley Routh allegedly waited in bushes near the club with a semiautomatic rifle, planning to shoot Trump while he was out golfing. A Secret Service agent quickly spotted the rifle and fired shots at Routh, who fled before being arrested shortly after.<\/p>\n<p>Routh has a more extensive online presence than Crooks did. He particularly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/3373234\/witness-ryan-routh-trump-assassination-attempt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"rebuked \">rebuked <\/a>Trump over the Ukraine war and believed the president was a threat to democracy, while also <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/US\/suspect-trump-attempted-assassination-ryan-wesley-routh\/story?id=113720624\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"calling\">writing<\/a> in a 2023 self-published book that Iran should &ldquo;feel free&rdquo; to assassinate Trump.<\/p>\n<p>In a <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >separate thwarted assassination plot<\/a> against Trump, federal prosecutors <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2024\/11\/08\/donald-trump-iran-assassination-plot-00188498\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"revealed \">revealed <\/a>that a month before the November election in 2024, Iran ordered an operative to assassinate Trump within a week or wait until after Election Day to do so. Afghan national Farhad Shakeri was later charged with murder-for-hire and providing material support to a foreign terrorist organization.<\/p>\n<p>Iran insists it has never attempted to assassinate Trump, with President Masoud Pezeshkian <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/investigations\/iran-never-plotted-kill-president-elect-donald-trump-irans-president-t-rcna187644\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"denied\">calling<\/a> those plots &ldquo;schemes&rdquo; created by Israel &ldquo;to promote Iranophobia.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/washingtonexaminer.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Netanyahu, however, made clear on Sunday that Trump is the regime&rsquo;s &ldquo;enemy No. 1.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;For them, [Trump is] enemy No. 1.
