The company plans to invest $4 billion in U.S. production, including expanding plants in Michigan, Kansas, and Tennessee to manufacture more <a href="https://www.conservativenewsdaily.net/breaking-news/studies-show-the-electric-vehicles-democrats-insist-you-buy-are-worse-for-the-environment-and-lower-quality/" title="Studies Show The ... The Orion Assembly plant, originally intended for EV production, will now produce gas-powered SUVs and pickups, while the Fairfax Assembly plant will take on production of the Chevy Equinox, transitioning work from Mexico.

This decision was supported by the United Auto Workers (UAW), which praised GM’s commitment to American workers. UAW President Shawn Fain noted that this investment could bring back good union jobs to U.S. communities. Though, analysts suggest that this shift indicates GM’s abandonment of its previous goal to achieve an all-EV lineup by 2035, wiht some describing the objective as aspirational rather than a definitive strategy.

Moreover, a recent survey indicated that interest in EVs among American consumers has significantly decreased, with only 16% considering purchasing one, while a growing number express skepticism about their price and operational costs. Despite these challenges, GM maintains its belief in an all-EV future, claiming the shift in focus does not signal a complete withdrawal from electric vehicle advancement.

General Motors is shifting gears from going green to going after the green.

With demand for EVs in low gear, GM is investing $4 billion to make more <a href="https://www.conservativenewsdaily.net/breaking-news/gov-newsom-reemerges-after-2-week-disappearance/" title="Gov.
