Two individuals required further medical treatment after being taken to a hospital. A few people pushed the bike rack down and illegally crossed the police line while running towards the Rotunda Steps,&rdquo; USCP said.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Our officers immediately blocked the group and began making arrests,&rdquo; the statement continued.<\/p>\n<p>A law enforcement official <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2025\/06\/13\/politics\/protesters-arrested-us-capitol\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">told<\/a> CNN the protesters were part of a veterans&rsquo; group protesting fascism. Many <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >people detained wore shirts<\/a> that read &ldquo;Veterans Against Fascism,&rdquo; <a href=\"https:\/\/wjla.com\/news\/local\/several-detained-capitol-hill-veteran-protest-military-army-anti-ice-supreme-court-money-parades-people-immigration-customs-police-protest-rally-arrest-detained\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">according<\/a> to ABC 7 DC.<\/p>\n<p>USCP said the protesters who were arrested will be charged with unlawful demonstration and crossing a police line.
