The exchange followed tensions related to an incident involving Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and Senate Democrat Alex Padilla. Mannion was reportedly vocal and aggressive, questioning Lawler&#8217;s actions and urging him to take a stronger stance against certain political issues. Lawler responded by condemning Mannion&#8217;s behavior as unprofessional and suggested he seek help for anger management. Mannion claimed his outburst was meant to draw attention to perceived threats against American democracy, particularly critiquing support for former President Trump. This incident wasn&#8217;t isolated, as another altercation involving Rep. Maxwell Frost (D-FL) and members of the Republican party also took place on the same day. John Mannion (D-NY) yelled at Rep. Mike Lawler (R-NY) to get out of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/democrats\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Democratic<\/a> side of the House floor after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/israeli-military-retaliates-after-rockets-fired-from-syria\/\" title=\"Israeli military retaliates after rockets fired from Syria\">tensions ran high<\/a> following Sen. No wonder numerous staffers have previously alleged a toxic work environment. He should go seek help for anger management &mdash; and f*** off.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The Democrat <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/andrewsolender\/status\/1933277242374959257\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"reportedly\">reportedly<\/a> confronted Lawler about the Padilla incident and urged him to stand up and &ldquo;grow a pair of balls.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Mannion told the <em>Washington Examiner<\/em> he was standing up and speaking out against the &ldquo;gross fealty to a want-to-be dictator who is tearing the country apart&rdquo; in reference to President Donald Trump&rsquo;s &ldquo;enablers.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I&rsquo;m giving everything I have to stop the rise of authoritarian government and the destruction of American democracy,&rdquo; Mannion said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;If making some noise on the House floor and calling out Trump enablers draws attention to what&rsquo;s happening to our country right before our eyes &mdash; good,&rdquo; he added.<\/p>\n<p>This was not the only fight between members on Thursday. Rep. Maxwell Frost (D-FL) was in a screaming match between House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), where he asked for a point of order to subpoena Noem. Comer told Frost to &ldquo;shut up,&rdquo; and Greene accused Frost of being a &ldquo;former antifa member.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/congressional\/3438707\/texas-gop-white-house-weigh-options-redistrict-house-seats\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"><strong>TEXAS GOP AND THE WHITE HOUSE WEIGH OPTIONS TO REDISTRICT HOUSE SEATS<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Fights on the House floor are a rarity, but do happen. Congress is known for not shying away from the theatrics and name-calling.<\/p>\n<p>Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) called Greene a &ldquo;bleach blonde bad-built butch body&rdquo; during an off-the-rails exchange in a House hearing last year. Rep. Mike Rogers (R-AL) also had to be physically prevented from going after then-Rep. Matt Gaetz during the 2023 marathon effort to elect Rep.
