The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, in Washington, D.C., noted the case&#8217;s remarkable importance, opting for a hearing with an 11-member court rather than a usual three-judge panel.The hearing is scheduled for July 31. The court will examine a ruling from the U.S. Court of International Trade that found Trump exceeded his authority under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act by implementing his extensive tariff agenda. Trump&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >administration initially imposed tariffs<\/a> on Canada, China, adn Mexico amid claims it was a measure against drug trafficking and to address the trade deficit. Enacted in 1977, this law grants the president the power to regulate economic transactions in a time of national emergency.
