The charges stem from a protest on May 9, where McIver, alongside other officials, allegedly obstructed a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/doj-charges-house-democrat-lamonica-mciver-over-ice-facility-assault\/\" title=\"... over ICE facility assault\">detainee transport bus<\/a> and breached the facility&#8217;s gate.
