Her, who supports these subsidies, shared her family&#8217;s history of fleeing political persecution in Laos after the Vietnam War, which led to her stating, &#8220;I am illegal in this country. My parents are illegal here, in this country.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Later, Her shed some tears while trying to hammer her point home.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;[My parents] cried.
