This decrease comes <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >amid ongoing trade negotiations<\/a> between China and the U.S.,with initial tariffs on Chinese goods as high as 145% reduced to 30% temporarily. In exchange, China lowered its tariffs on American goods from 125% to 10%.China&#8217;s total exports saw an 8.1% growth in April but later declined, and imports from the U.S.also dropped, contributing to a trade surplus of $103.2 billion for China in may. Last month, China was the outlier among <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-continues-spat-with-loser-karl-rove-washington-examiner\/\" title=\"... continues spat with &#039;loser&#039; Karl Rove - Washington Examiner\">foreign countries facing tariffs<\/a> with an initial&nbsp;145% tariff. It has since been reduced to 30% in a temporary trade deal set to last until August 12. This May, there was $28.8 billion in exports. Imports from the U.S. in May were over $10 billion, which was also a decrease.<\/p>\n<p>As a result, China&rsquo;s total exports decreased after an 8.1% year-over-year growth reported in April. May saw total exports increase by 4.8%. Imports declined by 3.4%. China&rsquo;s trade surplus last month was $103.2 billion.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Chinese Communist Party reported that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/canadian-inflation-rate-slows-to-7-0-though-food-prices-hit-41-year-high\/\" title=\"Canadian inflation rate slows to 7.0%, though food prices hit 41-year high\">consumer price index fell 0<\/a>.1%, which can be an indicator of less demand.
