Aide Kash Patel Gets Immunity to Testify About Mar-A-Logo Docs\">federal judge recently ruled<\/a> in favor of former President Donald Trump, dismissing a lawsuit filed by the Democratic national Commitee (DNC). The DNC had challenged multiple executive orders issued by Trump, claiming they would undermine the independence of the Federal Election Commission (FEC). The lawsuit, initiated shortly after the signing of an executive order aimed at increasing presidential oversight of federal agencies, was deemed to speculative by U.S.District Judge Amir ali, who noted that the DNC failed to substantiate claims of immediate injury. Judge Ali, not known to be aligned with Trump&#8217;s management, indicated that the DNC could re-file the lawsuit if they could produce concrete evidence. \t\t\t\t}); \t\t\t} \t\t<\/script> <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The Constitution vests all executive power in the President and charges him with faithfully executing the laws,&rdquo; Trump stated in the order. &ldquo;Since it would be impossible for the President to single-handedly perform all the executive business of the Federal Government, the Constitution also provides for subordinate officers to assist the President in his executive duties.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;In the exercise of their often-considerable authority, these <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >executive branch officials remain subject<\/a> to the President&rsquo;s ongoing supervision and control.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;However, previous administrations have allowed so-called &lsquo;independent regulatory agencies&rsquo; to operate with minimal Presidential supervision,&rdquo; Trump continued. &ldquo;These regulatory agencies currently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/most-fec-work-on-pause-without-a-quorum-washington-examiner\/\" title=\"Most FEC work on pause without a quorum - Washington Examiner\">exercise substantial executive authority<\/a> without sufficient accountability to the President, and through him, to the American people.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Moreover, these regulatory agencies have been permitted to promulgate significant regulations without review by the President.&#8239;&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The EO, in a bid to ensure greater accountability and transparency, ordered that &ldquo;it shall be the policy of the executive branch to ensure Presidential supervision and control of the entire executive branch. &nbsp;Moreover, all executive departments and agencies, including so-called independent agencies, shall submit for review all proposed and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-signing-order-ending-federal-funding-for-illegal-immigrants-washington-examiner\/\" title=\"... signing ... ending federal funding for illegal immigrants - Washington Examiner\">final significant regulatory actions<\/a> to the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA) within the Executive Office of the President before publication in the Federal Register.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>This mandate apparently rankled the DNC, which filed the lawsuit in question just 10 days after the order was signed.<\/p>\n<p>Much to their chagrin, the DNC failed to prove the threat of &ldquo;concrete and imminent injury,&rdquo; according to Ali.<\/p>\n<p>Or, as Politico <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2025\/06\/03\/judge-tosses-democratic-party-challenge-to-trump-orders-impact-on-fec-00384577\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">summarized<\/a> it: &ldquo;District Judge Amir Ali said the Democratic Party groups&rsquo; case was simply too speculative.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The outlet also pointed out a fascinating wrinkle in this lawsuit case being smacked down: Judge Ali is no favorite of the Trump administration, as he was the one whose ruling effectively tied the hands of DOGE when it came to laying off USAID employees.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;[The] possibility that the president and attorney general would take the extraordinary step of issuing a directive to the FEC or its Commissioners purporting to bind their interpretation of FECA is not sufficiently concrete and imminent to create Article III injury,&rdquo;
