Greene stated that she would have opposed the bill had she known about this section, referring to it as a violation of state rights. She emphasized concerns about the potential implications of unfettered AI progress and vowed to oppose the bill if the provision remains when it returns from the Senate.Greene faced criticism from Democratic colleagues for allegedly not thoroughly reading the bill before her vote, with some urging her to &#8220;read the bill&#8221; before supporting it. When the OBBB comes back to the House for approval after Senate changes, I will not vote for it with this in it. We should be reducing federal power and preserving state power. Not the other way around. Ted Lieu (D-CA) and Mark Pocan (D-WI) piled on, with Pocan saying, &ldquo;Read the f***ing bill instead of clapping for it like a performing monkey. You should have done your job while it was written. You didn&rsquo;t.
