House Republicans have submitted <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/grassley-demands-doj-fbi-update-status-of-investigation-into-kavanaughs-fraudulant-accusers\/\" title=\"Grassley Demands ..., FBI Update Status Of Investigation Into Kavanaugh\u2019s \u2018Fraudulant\u2019 Accusers\">criminal referrals<\/a> to the DOJ regarding <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >false statements made<\/a> by the Biden family to congressional committees. Comer expressed optimism that the DOJ might act under the new leadership as President Trump&#8217;s presidency, even though he noted no action has been taken yet.<\/p>\n<p>comer emphasized the importance of accountability and remarked that lying before Congress is a felony. The committee is particularly focused on allegations surrounding former President Joe biden&#8217;s use of an autopen for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/texas-gov-abbott-pushes-back-against-bidens-climate-agenda\/\" title=\"Texas Gov. Abbott pushes back against ...\u2019s climate agenda\">signing executive orders<\/a>, which could be challenged in court if it is shown that Biden was unaware of the signings. Furthermore, there is ongoing scrutiny regarding pardons Biden granted before leaving office, including one for his son Hunter, which Trump has criticized as unjust. So, they&rsquo;re good throughout the entire Trump administration. The chairman said it &ldquo;absolutely&rdquo; is, and that the committee will continue working on its investigation while it is &ldquo;desperately seeking accountability&rdquo; from the DOJ.<\/p>\n<p>One major point of focus that House Republicans are currently working to investigate is former President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/joe-biden\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Joe Biden<\/a>&rsquo;s use of the &ldquo;autopen,&rdquo; which has come under scrutiny. Comer contended that many of Biden&rsquo;s executive orders were meant to &ldquo;Trump-proof&rdquo; the White House, and that these orders could potentially be thrown out in court if it can be proven that Biden had no knowledge of them being signed in his name.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/white-house\/3427056\/trump-says-biden-autopen-use-white-house-great-scandal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">TRUMP SAYS BIDEN AUTOPEN COULD BE COME ONE OF THE &lsquo;GREAT SCANDALS&rsquo;<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Prior to leaving the White House, Biden granted a myriad of pardons, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/justice\/3246641\/joe-biden-pardons-son-hunter-of-all-criminal-charges\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">one of which was granted to his son<\/a> Hunter that stretched back from 2014 through December 1, 2024. Trump had decried this pardon, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/presidential\/3246673\/trump-slams-biden-pardoning-his-son-hunter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">deeming it a &ldquo;miscarriage of justice.&rdquo;<\/a>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, outgoing acting U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Ed Martin stated that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/justice\/3409938\/ed-martin-says-doj-will-review-biden-pardons\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">the office would investigate Biden&rsquo;s last-minute pardons<\/a>. Besides Hunter Biden, pardons were also issued to former White House COVID-19 adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci, former Wyoming GOP Rep.
