Trump issued pardons to several individuals, including reality TV stars, which has drawn comparisons to president Joe Biden’s more discreet pardons at the end of his own presidency. Conservative commentator Scott Jennings highlighted that Trump’s pardons are being executed openly, contrasting them with Biden’s actions, which he suggested lack transparency and decisiveness.

the article emphasizes the belief among some conservatives that the current justice system is fundamentally flawed and controlled by a “weaponized” Department of Justice under biden, leading to a potential confrontation between Trump, who perceives this issue acutely, and the judicial establishment. Trump has publicly criticized the judiciary’s encroachment on presidential powers and framed the pardons within a broader concern about judicial overreach. The discussion aims to illustrate Trump’s intention to challenge the perceived corruption within the justice system and suggests that his pardons may reflect a deeper ideological conflict with the establishment.

    Read more…

If you pay close attention, you can see President Donald Trump on a collision course with the entire federal judiciary.

For instance, earlier this week Trump announced a series of pardons for multiple individuals convicted of crimes such as bank fraud, tax evasion, and bribery, including reality TV stars Todd and Julie Chrisley, parents of Republican social media influencer Savannah Chrisley.

Wednesday on CNN’s “The Arena with Kasie Hunt,” conservative commentator Scott Jennings headed off potential objections to those pardons by contrasting Trump’s transparent use of the pardon power with former President Joe Biden’s highly controversial pardons, issued quietly in the waning hours of Biden’s catastrophic presidency.

“It’s being done out in the open,” Jennings said in a clip posted to YouTube. “It’s being done in the light of day. Jennings’ relevant comments began around the 8:10 mark.

Of course, the contrast with Biden alone makes Trump’s pardon decisions politically unassailable. In fact, Hunt and the panelists agreed that Trump would pay no political price for these pardons.

That does not mean, however, that the president will avoid a politically charged collision with the entire justice system. And that collision must happen, so that Americans may open their eyes. After all, many Americans naively believe that law schools produce judges who know and care about the Constitution.

For instance, in announcing a full pardon for ex-sheriff Scott Howard Jenkins, convicted of bribery, Trump called Jenkins “a victim of an overzealous Biden Department of Justice.”

Indeed, conservatives who love law and order face an uncomfortable admission. In short, we have a very, very serious problem with our entire system of jurisprudence.

Trump sees this. He experienced it personally, as did many of his supporters.

Worse yet, a cabal of unelected rogues in robes has conspired to hamstring the president by exercising powers they lack. If the Constitution actually authorized federal judges to prevent the president from interpreting the extent of his own Article II authority, then the Constitution would amount to a farce, a parody of self-government unworthy even of the parchment on which the great Founders wrote it.

Trump sees this, too. In fact, he has called it out on several occasions.

Late Thursday on his social media platform , for instance, the president made one of the most important social media posts of his political career.

First, he chided the U.S. Court of International Trade for trying to curtail his tariff powers. But he went much further by blasting the entire process by which judicial nominees arrive at his desk.

“Backroom ‘hustlers’ must not be allowed to destroy our Nation!” Trump thundered.

Moreover, “Radical Left Judges, together with some very bad people, are destroying America.”

Thus, we must understand Trump’s pardons in the context of his awakening about the nature of the U.S. justice system.

The issue at hand, as Trump framed it, has nothing to do with the presidential pardon power. It has to do with Biden’s weaponized Department of Justice.

If Trump sees that weaponized DOJ as part of a larger and fundamentally corrupt system of jurisprudence — as mounting evidence suggests that he does — then expect a potentially Earth-shaking collision between The People’s President and the establishment’s courts.

       * Name

       *

      * Message

* All fields are required.

Success!

       function firefly_sc() { if( typeof window.captchaPublicKey==typeof undefined ){ console.error('window.captchaPublicKey is not defined'); } grecaptcha.execute( window.captchaPublicKey, { action: 'submit_correction' } ).then( function( token ) { var opts={ action: 'firefly_sc_submit', name: document.querySelector( '.entry-submit-correction [name="name"]' ).value, : document.querySelector( '.entry-submit-correction [name=""]' ).value, message: document.querySelector( '.entry-submit-correction [name="message"]' ).value, post_id: firefly_post_id, cap_token: token } var inputs=[ 'name', '', 'message' ]; for( var i=0; i <inputs.length; i++ ) if( ! Recently, he announced pardons for several individuals convicted of offenses like bank fraud, tax evasion, and bribery, including reality TV personalities Todd and Julie Chrisley, who are the parents of Republican influencer Savannah Chrisley. On CNN’s “The Arena with Kasie Hunt,” conservative commentator Scott Jennings preemptively addressed potential criticisms of these pardons by highlighting Trump’s open use of his pardon power compared to former President Joe Biden’s more controversial and discreet pardons issued during the final moments of his presidency. Jennings remarked that Trump’s actions are transparent and conducted in public view rather than at the last minute before a presidential transition. Biden had granted pardons to family members just moments before Trump was inaugurated on January 20.

Additionally, Trump also granted last-minute pardons to critics like Anthony Fauci and Liz Cheney. Given Biden’s cognitive decline, questions arise about who truly authorized those pardons. Jennings asserted that there is no doubt about who is responsible for Trump’s decisions while suggesting that Biden may not even be aware of some actions taken in his name.

Jennings described Biden’s inner circle as resembling a “Politburo” running the White House while emphasizing that Trump takes full ownership of his choices. The discussion highlighted how Trump’s pardon decisions stand politically unassailable when contrasted with Biden’s approach; both Hunt and other panelists concurred that Trump would face no political repercussions for these actions.

However, this does not mean he will escape a politically charged confrontation with the justice system-one necessary for Americans to recognize certain truths about their legal institutions. Many still mistakenly believe law schools produce judges committed to upholding constitutional principles. For example, in granting a full pardon to ex-sheriff Scott Howard Jenkins-convicted of bribery-Trump labeled him as “a victim” of an overly aggressive Justice Department under Biden.

Conservatives who value law and order must confront an uncomfortable reality: there exists a significant issue within our judicial system-a sentiment echoed by both Trump and many supporters who have experienced it firsthand. A group of unelected judges appears determined to undermine presidential authority through overreach; if federal judges were indeed empowered by the Constitution to limit presidential interpretation under Article II powers, it would render constitutional governance meaningless.

Trump has publicly criticized this situation multiple times; recently on social media he condemned attempts by courts to restrict his tariff authority while denouncing how judicial nominees reach his desk as corrupt practices undermining America’s integrity.

Thus, understanding Trump’s recent pardons requires recognizing his growing awareness regarding systemic issues within U.S. jurisprudence-not merely focusing on executive clemency but addressing what he perceives as weaponization within the Department of Justice under Biden’s administration-a perspective supported by increasing evidence suggesting widespread corruption in legal processes which could lead towards significant conflict between him (as representative for “the people”) against established judicial authorities

[33651
46665,50623,38862,44757
post-2440922","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-the-western-journal","tag-biden-pardons","tag-cnn-2","tag-scott-jennings","tag-trump-pardons
["GET
