He referenced previous agreements from earlier negotiations held in Istanbul, emphasizing the need for both countries to draft documents outlining their positions to achieve a lasting resolution. The demands also included the removal of current sanctions on Russia by Western countries, unfreezing Russian assets, and protecting &ldquo;Russian-speaking Ukrainians.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Rubio and Lavrov also briefly discussed the prisoner exchange between the two countries. The secretary of state also relayed President Donald Trump&rsquo;s desire to conclude the war while engaging in &ldquo;good faith dialogue.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Tammy Bruce, spokeswoman for the State Department, released a statement regarding the conversation between Lavrov and Rubio.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.&nbsp;
