These are the people Trump looks after. Not you.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Fago and her daughter were also part of a Justice Department <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2025\/04\/25\/us\/politics\/trump-pardon-walczak-ashley-biden-diary.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">investigation<\/a> into the public leak of Ashley Biden&rsquo;s diary to undermine her father&rsquo;s presidential campaign in 2020. Neither woman was charged or convicted in the investigation.<\/p>\n<p>Virginia Democratic candidates were also unequivocal in their denunciations of Jenkins, the former sheriff of Culpeper County.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Scott Jenkins was in a position of public trust and he broke the law,&rdquo; Democratic gubernatorial candidate Abigail Spanberger <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/SpanbergerForVA\/status\/1927149936799330472\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">wrote on social media<\/a>. &ldquo;He abused his power, violated his oath, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/nyt-lies-about-patel-suspending-analyst-key-to-fbi-corruption\/\" title=\"NYT Lies About Patel Suspending Analyst Key To FBI Corruption\">committed multiple federal crimes<\/a>, and was to be held accountable for his crimes.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The president just pardoned him in an affront to the oath he swore, the community he betrayed, the laws he broke, and the law enforcement officers who investigated this case and hold themselves to the highest ethical standard every day,&rdquo; Spanberger continued. <\/p>\n<p>Victor Salgado, one of a handful of Virginia Democratic lieutenant governor candidates, called Jenkins &ldquo;a lawless man&rdquo; in a statement condemning Trump&rsquo;s actions. <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Once again, President Trump has used the awesome power of the Pardon Clause to protect adjudicated criminals,&rdquo; Salgado said.<\/p>\n<p>Sen.
