Raise your kids, make them behave, love them,&rdquo; Robertson <a href=\"https:\/\/www.news-journalonline.com\/story\/news\/2013\/04\/08\/duck-dynasty-stars-a-hit-with-fans\/30618546007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">continued<\/a>. &ldquo;I don&rsquo;t see the downside to that.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2 d-flex justify-content-center\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-1521037552\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1463670073398-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>More than a decade later, the &ldquo;Happy, Happy, Happy&rdquo; 79-year-old was called to heavenly home, just six months after his family announced he was in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/entertainment\/duck-dynasty-star-phil-robertson-diagnosed-alzheimers-disease\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">&ldquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/appeals-court-upholds-new-york-gun-laws-including-sensitive-places-ban-washington-examiner\/\" title=\"Appeals court upholds New York gun laws, including sensitive places ban - Washington Examiner\">early stages&#038;rdquo<\/a>; of Alzheimer&rsquo;s disease. <\/a><\/p>\n<p>Robertson was always much more than a promising football star who prefaced the great Terry Bradshaw, a Christian camp director, a skilled hunter, patriarch of one of Louisiana&rsquo;s most famous families, founder of the nation&rsquo;s most recognizable duck call company, and a reality TV star. That&rsquo;s because long before Robertson and his family captured viewers&rsquo; attention on their hit A&amp;E show, Christ captured Robertson&rsquo;s heart and changed his life in radical and seemingly impossible ways.<\/p>\n<p>When the promise of Robertson&rsquo;s entire dynasty was at risk because of his sinful behavior, he leaned into the transformational power of his Savior&rsquo;s sacrifice to turn his life around. The result was astounding. <\/p>\n<p>Despite an affair that led to a child and an addiction that threatened to change his life for the worse, Robertson stayed married to his wife, not only maintained a relationship with his kids but built a flourishing business with them, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/entertainment\/where-sadie-korie-robertson-stand-221500859.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">made amends<\/a> with the daughter he discovered in 2020 that he had out of wedlock, and reaped the reward of 16 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Robertson quickly became known to his blood, his peers, and Americans as a servant and follower of Jesus who desperately wanted the world to partake of the same sanctification and peace he received.<\/p>\n<p>Robertson didn&rsquo;t give a duck&rsquo;s quack when the yuppies running A&amp;E tried to cancel him for <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2013\/12\/18\/duck-dynasty-phil-robertson-knew-exactly-what-doing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">paraphrasing Paul&rsquo;s warning<\/a> to the Corinthians about sinful behavior, including homosexuality. Instead, he leaned into <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unashamedtruth.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">unashamedly sharing Biblical wisdom<\/a>, along with his <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/DuckDynastyAE\/status\/1926815312126632026\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">quotable one-liners<\/a>, and advancing God&rsquo;s kingdom every chance he got. <\/p>\n<p>Until his last breath, Robertson made it clear that he <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Realtree\/status\/1866996491320951045\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">loved God, his family<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/bennyjohnson\/status\/1926804267714650132\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">his country<\/a>. What better legacy could a man leave?<\/p>\n<p>Robertson was very clear that when he died, he didn&rsquo;t want to be mourned in the traditional sense.
