The posthumous awards were given to Cpl. Luis Paez and Deputies Ralph &#8220;Butch&#8221; waller and Ignacio &#8220;Dan&#8221; Diaz, who died in a tragic accident in November 2025 while responding to a stalled motorcycle. The Florida Highway Patrol is currently investigating the crash. Luis Paez, and deputies Ralph &ldquo;Butch&rdquo; Waller and Ignacio &ldquo;Dan&rdquo; Diaz, died after being struck by a car in November, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.palmbeachpost.com\/story\/news\/local\/wellington\/2025\/05\/20\/trump-honors-3-pbso-motorcycle-deputies-killed-november-crash-southern-boulevard-diaz-paez-waller\/83743340007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">according<\/a> to the Palm Beach Post.<\/p>\n<p>The three of them were waiting on a curb while looking at a deputy&rsquo;s stalled motorcycle when the accident occurred.<\/p>\n<p>Waller and Paez both died from their injuries that day.
