This misstep resulted in the elimination of not only the grant but also $25 million for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/colorado-looking-to-fund-equity-and-affordable-housing-programs-by-reducing-tax-refunds\/\" title=\"Colorado Looking to Fund Equity and Affordable Housing Programs By Reducing Tax Refunds\">affordable housing initiatives<\/a> and $10 million for homeless services. The governor&#8217;s office acknowledged the mistake and stated they were looking for a legal solution to rectify it without calling a <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >costly special legislative session<\/a>. In the past, the north Dakota Supreme Court ruled that a governor cannot retract a veto. Kelly Armstrong (R-ND) accidentally vetoed $35 million for the state&rsquo;s housing budget.<\/p>\n<p>He said he intended to veto a $150,000 grant to fund a Native American homelessness liaison position.
