Passed by the House of Representatives, the bill is likened to the 1997 Balanced Budget Agreement, <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >wich successfully reduced spending<\/a> by over $200 billion. Vought expressed that this legislation is a crucial step towards achieving a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/gop-leaders-to-meet-with-trump-on-agenda\/\" title=\"GOP Leaders to Meet With Trump on Agenda\">balanced budget<\/a> after years of inaction and predicted it would stimulate $2.6 trillion in economic growth. Vought defended the cost for the sake of domestic production in the years to come.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We believe that it is important, and a foundation for balancing the budget is to remain a growing economy,&rdquo; Vought said. &ldquo;This bill will preserve that option. We will have $2.6 trillion of economic growth, dynamic scoring. Rand Paul <\/a>(R-KY) said he is committed to voting against it due to the large amount of spending it calls for.<\/p>\n<p>The Kentucky senator attempted to put forth an amendment that would increase the debt ceiling in the United States every three months to shadow federal spending cuts.
