This legislation seeks to ensure that taxpayer-funded Medicaid dollars cannot be used to support organizations that primarily offer reproductive health services and perform abortions,though it does not name any entities explicitly. Planned Parenthood&#8217;s latest report indicates it received approximately $800 million in taxpayer funding from 2023 to 2024 while performing over 402,000 abortions during that time.<\/p>\n<p>While the bill does not eliminate funding entirely, it may force up to half of planned Parenthood&#8217;s facilities in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/what-people-who-love-life-should-be-doing-now-to-prepare-for-roe-to-go\/\" title=\"What People Who Love Life Should Be Doing Now To Prepare For Roe To Go\">pro-abortion states<\/a> to close, given their heavy reliance on federal dollars. Pro-life advocates,such as SBA Pro-Life America,have celebrated the passage of the bill,viewing it as a victory in the fight against abortion and governmental waste. However, the legislation adds $3.1 trillion to the national debt and remains under scrutiny as not a complete solution to budgetary waste.The bill now awaits further consideration in the Senate.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The House of Representatives voted on Wednesday night to pass a hefty spending bill that will significantly cut the flow of federal dollars to the organizations responsible for ending the lives of hundreds of thousands of unborn babies each year. <\/p>\n<p>The &ldquo;One Big Beautiful Bill Act&rdquo; is far from the perfect fraud and waste solution some claim it to be. It still adds <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crfb.org\/blogs\/breaking-down-one-big-beautiful-bill#:~:text=The%20House%20of%20Representatives'%20Fiscal,to%20the%20debt%20including%20interest.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">$3.1 trillion to the national debt<\/a> and includes provisions that explicitly protect aspects of <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >taxpayer-funded healthcare<\/a>. The legislation does, however, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/bill\/119th-congress\/house-bill\/1\/text\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ensure<\/a> none of those Medicaid dollars &ldquo;shall be used to make payments to a prohibited entity for items and services furnished during a 10-year period.&rdquo; <\/p>\n<p>While the bill does not explicitly name Planned Parenthood as a &ldquo;prohibited entity,&rdquo; it does state that any nonprofit organization that &ldquo;is primarily engaged in family planning services, reproductive health, and related medical care,&rdquo; &ldquo;provides for abortions,&rdquo; and received more than $1 million in taxpayer funding in 2024, is off limits.<\/p>\n<p>The abortion giant&rsquo;s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/uploads\/filer_public\/21\/02\/2102bd3b-92cc-405a-8abd-0cf144a88846\/2024-ppfa-annualreport-c3-digital.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">latest annual report<\/a> shows it raked in nearly $800 million in taxpayer funds from 2023 to 2024. During that same period, Planned Parenthood also performed a <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/05\/13\/annual-report-planned-parenthood-aborted-more-babies-than-ever-got-more-taxpayer-cash-than-ever\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">record number of abortions &mdash; more than 402,000<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Planned Parenthood&rsquo;s steady stream of taxpayer funding has no doubt contributed to its history of ending unborn lives (or&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lifenews.com\/2013\/02\/07\/probe-demanded-of-planned-parenthood-doc-who-killed-woman-in-abortion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">botching their attempts to<\/a>&nbsp;do so),&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2016\/06\/24\/new-evidence-planned-parenthood-broke-federal-law-lied-to-women\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">allegedly flouting federal law<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/lozierinstitute.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/plannedparenthood-profit-no-matter-what.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/house-gop-unveils-bill-to-give-funding-to-border-states-that-want-to-continue-building-wall\/\" title=\"... GOP unveils ... to give funding to border states that want to continue building wall\">wasting tax dollars<\/a><\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.heritage.org\/gender\/commentary\/dont-defend-planned-parenthoods-gender-affirming-care-defund-it\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">dispensing castrating drugs<\/a>&nbsp;to confused minors, reportedly&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/11\/22\/report-planned-parenthood-caught-selling-viable-fetuses-to-university-of-california-san-diego\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">trafficking baby<\/a>&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2020\/04\/15\/new-unsealed-documents-show-planned-parenthood-profited-from-aborted-baby-body-parts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">body parts,<\/a>&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/07\/20\/want-to-know-who-is-really-empowered-by-abortion-sex-traffickers-and-abusers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">enabling abusers<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/florida-investigation-of-planned-parenthood-clinics-finds-deficiencies-1438817376\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">allegedly performing unlicensed<\/a>&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lifenews.com\/2016\/01\/29\/planned-parenthood-breaks-state-law-to-open-unlicensed-abortion-clinic-in-kentucky\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">procedures<\/a>&nbsp;and violating&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/6abc.com\/archive\/9059172\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">health<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2025\/02\/15\/us\/planned-parenthood-clinics.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">safety standards<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.stlpr.org\/politics-issues\/2018-02-23\/protest-buffer-zone-at-st-louis-planned-parenthood-narrowly-earns-first-round-approval#stream\/0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">opposing free speech<\/a>, and conducting procedures that have resulted in&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lifenews.com\/2012\/10\/09\/deaths-at-planned-parenthood-show-no-concern-for-women\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">mothers&rsquo; deaths<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>If the reconciliation package succeeds in passing the Senate and earning President Donald Trump&rsquo;s signature, however, Planned Parenthood Action Fund President and CEO Alexis McGill Johnson confirmed <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/bluevirginia\/status\/1925516136205959183\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">in a statement<\/a> that it will force up to half of Planned Parenthood facilities in pro-abortion states to close.&nbsp;Planned Parenthoods are already&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/05\/07\/report-health-centers-that-care-for-women-outnumber-planned-parenthood-by-15-to-1\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">outnumbered<\/a>&nbsp;15 to one by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/dr-gottlieb-biden-must-work-harder-to-battle-covid-19\/\" title=\"Dr. Gottlieb: Biden must work harder to battle COVID-19\">community health centers<\/a>, which receive far less federal funding, and outperformed by another&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/crisispregnancycentermap.com\/#:~:text=2%2C633%20CPCs%20were%20operating%20in,as%20of%20March%2031%2C%202024.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">2,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/its-time-for-congress-to-defund-planned-parenthood\/\" title=\"It&#039;s Time For Congress To Defund ...\">600 pro-life pregnancy centers<\/a><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Pro-life organizations such as SBA Pro-Life America celebrated the passage of the bill as a &ldquo;crucial win in the fight against America&rsquo;s #1 cause of death &ndash; abortion &ndash; and against waste and corruption.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We now urge the Senate to do its part, and both chambers to come together and get it across the finish line.
