U.S.Magistrate Judge Andr\u00e9 M. Espinosa labeled the initial arrest, which occurred after a confrontation involving Baraka, House Democrats, and law enforcement outside an ICE facility, as a major misstep. Espinosa dropped the charges against Baraka on Wednesday, following his May 9 arrest due to a scuffle between him and three <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/house-democrat\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"House Democrats\">House Democrats<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-to-congress-enact-major-restrictions-on-constitutionally-protected-second-amendment-rights\/\" title=\"Biden To Congress: Enact Major Restrictions On Constitutionally Protected Second Amendment Rights\">law enforcement authorities<\/a> outside an Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility. It is a severe action, carrying significant reputational and personal consequences, and it should only be undertaken after a thorough, dispassionate evaluation of credible evidence.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>He described the initial charges as &ldquo;embarrassing,&rdquo; proceeding to berate prosecutors for over five minutes.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Federal prosecutors serve a single paramount client: justice itself,&rdquo; Espinosa said. &ldquo;Your role is not to secure convictions at all costs, nor to satisfy public clamor, nor to advance political agendas.
