The author expresses skepticism about the book’s intent, suggesting it will likely be a reflection of various insiders’ self-serving narratives rather than a genuine exploration of the issues surrounding Biden’s presidency. The article highlights the contrasting journalistic approaches of tapper and Thompson, with Tapper frequently enough defending Biden’s fitness for office while Thompson reported on concerns about Biden’s mental state.

there is criticism of the authors for hiring a crisis public relations firm to manage the book’s release, implying a need to mitigate fallout from perhaps negative revelations. The piece questions the motivations behind the timing of the book’s release and whether it serves to address past media complicity in portraying Biden favorably. The author asserts that rather than providing new insights, the book is expected to reiterate known concerns about Biden’s capabilities.

the article conveys a sense of disillusionment regarding the media’s role in covering Biden’s presidency and the motivations behind the forthcoming book, suggesting it serves more as a means for the authors to profit from the narrative than to provide accountability or openness.

When the book “Original Sin: President Biden’s Decline, Its Cover-up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again” was announced, I was intrigued.

It wasn’t because I imagined it would shed real light on the cover-up of Biden’s decline; the cover-up was done poorly enough that anyone with eyes could see it, and most of these books tumbling out now about how it all fell apart are simply “Rashomon” exercises in various Biden insiders telling their self-exculpatory version(s) of the story.

Nor did I believe it might identify what the “original sin” in Biden’s campaign(s) was. Was it choosing to run again? Choosing to run the first time? Meanwhile, over at Axios, Thompson was one of the few people in Washington actually looking into Biden’s mental state — and finding some alarming things.

Theoretically, then, “Original Sin” could be an interesting dichotomous study in how most of the media willfully got it wrong while Thompson and a few others were actually reporting the story that was right in front of our eyes.

From what we’ve seen from excerpts — and from a new report indicating that a public relations firm is being dispatched to handle the book’s rollout — it will not be that. He was very much a part of the media cabal who defended Biden,” Concha said.

“He blamed a stutter. One described aides noting Biden may need a wheelchair for a second term; another said he didn’t even recognize who George Clooney was at that infamous fundraiser.

If you didn’t know this was probably what the situation was, you are blind and deaf and probably not American. In an authors’ note, they explain that they interviewed approximately 200 people, including high-level insiders, “some of whom may never acknowledge speaking to us but all of whom know the truth within these pages.”

The result is a damning, step-by-step account of how the people closest to a stubborn, aging president enabled his quixotic resolve to run for a second term. The authors trace the deluge of trouble that flowed from Biden’s original sin: the sidelining of Vice President Kamala Harris; the attacks on journalists (like Thompson) who deigned to report on worries about Biden’s apparent fatigue and mental state; an American public lacking clear communication from the president and left to twist in the wind. “It was an abomination,” one source told the authors. “He stole an election from the Democratic Party; he stole it from the American people.”

Um, Jake: You are aware those people could have been talked to before the election, right? My curiosity wasn’t due to expectations of uncovering new insights about Biden’s decline; the cover-up was so poorly executed that it was evident to anyone paying attention. Many recent books discussing how things unraveled are merely various insiders’ self-serving narratives. I also didn’t think it would pinpoint what the “original sin” of Biden’s campaigns might be-whether it was his decision to run again, his initial candidacy, or Obama’s choice of Hillary over him in 2016. Ultimately, none of that is particularly relevant now; with Biden having exited stage left, it’s likely that the original sin was electing him to the Senate back in 1972. What truly piqued my interest were the authors: Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson. Their collaboration on a book about Biden’s decline seemed like an unusual pairing-akin to Hunter S. Thompson and Ned Flanders embarking on a road trip together.

As CNN viewers and those stuck in airports over recent years know well, Tapper spent much of Biden’s presidency portraying him as completely fit for office. In contrast, Thompson at Axios stood out as one of the few journalists investigating concerns regarding Biden’s mental fitness-and discovering troubling findings along the way. Thus, “Original Sin” could have been an intriguing exploration contrasting how most media outlets misrepresented reality while Thompson reported on what was plainly visible.

However, based on excerpts we’ve seen-and reports indicating a public relations firm has been hired for its launch-it seems this won’t be the case after all. Instead of revealing truths about Biden’s cognitive issues as expected from such a significant title set for release on May 20th (and which has already prompted hiring crisis PR expert Risa Heller), we can anticipate more attempts at damage control rather than genuine revelations.

Why would they need crisis PR for such a highly anticipated nonfiction book? The answer lies in their past actions during Biden’s presidency when they downplayed serious concerns regarding his capabilities-a fact Tapper himself later acknowledged with some humility amidst criticism aimed at him for previously covering up these issues.

Despite being part of this media narrative defending an increasingly unfit president during his time in office-where even Fox News criticized them-Tapper now appears ready to profit from revelations he once helped suppress while attempting to rewrite history without taking full responsibility for his role in enabling this situation.

The upcoming book promises no real accountability; instead, it reiterates what many already suspected: aides noted potential mobility issues for another term and instances where he failed to recognize prominent figures like George Clooney at events-all information readily apparent if one had been paying attention throughout these years.

In their authors’ note detailing interviews with around 200 sources-including high-ranking insiders-the result is described as a damning account illustrating how those closest enabled an aging president’s misguided ambition while sidelining others like Vice President Kamala Harris amid widespread public confusion stemming from unclear communication from leadership.

Ultimately though-as pundits have pointed out-the willingness now shown by former aides eager to share their stories reflects not just regret but also self-preservation instincts within Washington D.C., where reputations are often salvaged through selective storytelling after political fallout occurs post-election cycles rather than proactive journalism addressing critical issues beforehand when they mattered most

[33651
55387,37534,55388
post-2435531","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-the-western-journal","tag-crisis-pr","tag-media-response","tag-political-spin
["GET
