What the hell is going on?&rsquo; He said, &lsquo;So I checked, and it&rsquo;s the same box made in the same plant by the same company. It&rsquo;s the identical pill that I buy in New York. And here I&rsquo;m paying $88 in London, and New York, I&rsquo;m paying $1,300,&rsquo;&rdquo; Trump recounted.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Now, this is a great businessman, so &mdash; but he&rsquo;s not familiar with this crazy situation that we have. But he was stunned,&rdquo; the president added.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Nq5uAJ2DLLY?si=APa4J249f3bl2NjT&amp;start=1035\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Trump went on to say that the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-star-qb-aaron-rodgers-tells-joe-rogan-big-pharma-companies-really\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> pharmaceutical companies<\/a> can&rsquo;t justify the price difference other than they&rsquo;ve been able to get away with forcing Americans to pay the lion&rsquo;s  of the research and development costs.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I brought it up with the drug companies, represented by somebody who&rsquo;s very, very smart, good person too. And we argued about it for about a half-hour. And then finally, he just said, because they can&rsquo;t justify it, he just said, &lsquo;Look, you got me. You got me. I can no longer justify [the price difference],&rsquo;&rdquo; Trump said.<\/p>\n<p>Finally the man conceded, &ldquo;It&rsquo;s research and development.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Trump responded that other countries should pay for R&amp;D costs, too.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;What&rsquo;s been happening is we&rsquo;ve been subsidizing other countries throughout the world,&rdquo; he told reporters.<\/p>\n<p>Health and Human Services Secretary <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/rfk-jr-recounts-amusing-confrontation-soda-industry-reps-snap-benefits\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Robert F. Kennedy Jr.<\/a> told Fox Business on Monday morning that the federal government, which is the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbo.gov\/topics\/health-care\/prescription-drugs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">largest purchaser<\/a> of pharmaceuticals, will get them down to European levels.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">America provides 74% of the pharmaceutical revenues in the world, yet we only have 4.2% of the world&rsquo;s population. And we only have 4.2 percent of the world&rsquo;s population,&rdquo; he added.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Democratic and Republican politicians have been talking about it for years, &lsquo;We&rsquo;ve got to end these discrepancies.
