Despite wearing a helmet, he was struck in a vulnerable area and underwent surgery, but sadly died the following day. The local community has come together in a show of support, placing lacrosse sticks and other memorabilia outside their homes in his honor, rallying under the hashtag #SticksOutForDylan. Dylan&#8217;s family expressed their gratitude for the overwhelming kindness and support they have received.<\/p>\n<p>Dylan was described as a dedicated athlete and a compassionate teammate, with school officials noting his positive attitude and commitment to his peers. He underwent surgery on Wednesday but died the next day.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We are deeply touched by the overwhelming support and kindness shown by our community and beyond.
