Then the phone, the iPad and my cellphone just went nuts,&rdquo; he said.<\/p>\n<p>John Prevost said that he and his two brothers were raised by their father, a school superintendent, and his mother, a school librarian, in what he called a &ldquo;normal childhood.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>He said <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/jd-vance-reacts-selection-american-pope-recently-criticized\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">his brother<\/a> &ldquo;knew he was going to be a priest from the time he could walk.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>John added, &ldquo;A neighbor once said he was going to be pope someday. How&rsquo;s that for a prognostication?&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>John Prevost said he spoke to his brother briefly on Thursday to congratulate him, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/International\/destined-pope-brother-leo-xiv-wanted-priest\/story?id=121617183\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ABC News<\/a>.
