DOJ should be supporting Missouri&rsquo;s case to put safety limits on abortion drugs <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/re1OagDPtQ\">pic.twitter.com\/re1OagDPtQ<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Josh Hawley (@HawleyMO) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/HawleyMO\/status\/1920106843726069999?\">May 7, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Today I&rsquo;m calling on the Justice Department to reverse their defense of Joe Biden&rsquo;s abortion policy,&rdquo; Hawley wrote. &ldquo;DOJ should be supporting Missouri&rsquo;s case to put safety limits on abortion drugs.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>(As both Hawley and Politico have noted, this issue dates back to that of former President Joe Biden&rsquo;s administration.)<\/p>\n<p>Hawley would continue in his letter to DOJ head <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/pam-bondi-reveals-truly-horrific-actions-wisconsin-judge-arrested-fbi-not-gonna-believe\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pam Bondi<\/a>, admitting, &ldquo;While the grounds for dismissal sought are mostly procedural in nature, I am troubled by the fact that the Justice Department has sided with the Biden administration&rsquo;s position, especially considering new data showing the harms of chemical abortion for women.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I urge you to reconsider.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Citing a recent study, Hawley went on to note the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/feminists-safe-abortion-pill-linked-dangerous-complications-advertised-not-worst-part\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">actual medical dangers of mifepristone<\/a> &mdash; the abortion pill &mdash; even beyond the moral concerns typically associated with abortion.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;That study found that more than 1 in 10 wommen who use mifepristone experience sepsis, infection, hemorrhaging, an emergency room visit, or another serious adverse event within 45 days.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This rate is far greater than the rate reported on the FDA-approved label for mifepristone.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Hawley didn&rsquo;t even mention the near 100 percent lethality rate for unborn children when it comes to mifepristone, but it doesn&rsquo;t take much to find more pointed outrage from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/sen-hawley-says-biden-abortion-policies-are-an-insult\/\" title=\"Sen.
