Roberts directed his answer to comments he made two months ago.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;For more than two centuries, it has been established that impeachment is not an appropriate response to disagreement concerning a judicial decision,&rdquo; Roberts <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/supreme-court\/3351272\/chief-justice-roberts-impeachment-not-appropriate-judges-ruling-against-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">said in March.<\/a> &ldquo;Normal appellate review process exists for that purpose.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Fellow Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/supreme-court\/3398942\/ketanji-brown-jackson-trump-attacks-judges-supreme-court\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">last week <\/a>called the threats against judges &ldquo;attacks on our democracy.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The attacks are also not isolated incidents,&rdquo; Jackson said without mentioning Trump&rsquo;s name. &ldquo;That is, they impact more than just individual judges who are being targeted. Rather, the threats and harassment are attacks on our democracy, on our system of government, and they ultimately risk undermining our Constitution and the rule of law.&rdquo;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.2);\"><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/justice\/3403384\/what-process-are-illegal-immigrants-due-trump-deportations\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">WHAT &lsquo;PROCESS&rsquo; ARE ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS DUE?<\/a><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday, Roberts also spoke about the concept of overruling precedent, saying it&rsquo;s not a &ldquo;bad thing&rdquo; but it can&rsquo;t be done &ldquo;willy-nilly.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I mean, aren&rsquo;t you glad that you know <em>Brown v. Board of Education<\/em> overruled[[<em>Plessy v.
