return false;\" title=\"Printer Friendly, PDF &amp; Email\"><span id=\"printfriendly-text2\" class=\"pf-button-text\"><i class=\"mdi mdi-printer\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i><\/span><\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<p>If Americans needed further proof that the Pulitzer Prize has become nothing more than a glorified gold sticker given to the media&rsquo;s biggest left-wing propagandists, the award&rsquo;s 2025 winners are sure to convince them.<\/p>\n<p>Included in the batch of <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/pulitzer-prize-journalism-trump-2025-5da30d83667654d3663a7c432d91da4c?taid=6819142f8745050001decc42&amp;utm_campaign=TrueAnthem&amp;utm_medium=AP&amp;utm_source=Twitter\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">this year&rsquo;s winners<\/a> is none other than <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/tag\/propublica\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ProPublica<\/a>, a left-wing outlet reportedly <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/11\/07\/report-leftist-funded-propublica-attacks-conservatives-23-times-more-than-democrats\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">bankrolled by leftist mega-donors<\/a> and notorious for running interference for the Democrat Party and its allies. Several of the outlet&rsquo;s writers won a Pulitzer last year for their <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/06\/28\/propublicas-pulitzer-should-be-revoked\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">dishonest smear campaign<\/a> against Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2 d-flex justify-content-center\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-458254744\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1463670073398-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The Pulitzer given to ProPublica this year is equally, if not more, reprehensible. <\/p>\n<p>According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/pulitzer-prize-journalism-trump-2025-5da30d83667654d3663a7c432d91da4c?taid=6819142f8745050001decc42&amp;utm_campaign=TrueAnthem&amp;utm_medium=AP&amp;utm_source=Twitter\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Associated Press<\/a>, ProPublica&rsquo;s Kavitha Surana, Lizzie Presser, Cassandra Jaramillo, and Stacy Kranitz were awarded for what the AP characterizes as &ldquo;reporting on pregnant women who died after doctors delayed urgent care in states with strict abortion laws.&rdquo; What the Associated Press declines to mention, however, is that ProPublica&rsquo;s &ldquo;reporting&rdquo; was left-wing propaganda designed to vilify life-saving pro-life laws in states across the country.<\/p>\n<p>As The Federalist&rsquo;s Jordan Boyd <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/09\/18\/media-democrats-blame-pro-lifers-after-the-abortion-pill-they-promote-killed-a-woman-and-her-babies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reported<\/a>, ProPublica ran a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.propublica.org\/article\/georgia-abortion-ban-amber-thurman-death\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">story<\/a> by Surana less than two months before the 2024 general election of a Georgia woman named Amber Thurman and her unborn twins. While Thurman &ldquo;died in 2022 after &hellip; suffer[ing] untreated complications from the dangerous drug regimen responsible for&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.guttmacher.org\/article\/2022\/02\/medication-abortion-now-accounts-more-half-all-us-abortions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">more than half of the nation&rsquo;s abortions<\/a>,&rdquo; ProPublica &ldquo;blam[ed] confusion about Georgia&rsquo;s lifesaving abortion limits for [her] death.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;A&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/usw2.nyl.as\/t1\/267\/3lwsmksq0mmyvfltlyxoezwp3\/1\/24ffcd0e2e34a88564894b554085b9af06d887a04bb989480822a16a7683e6f5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">closer look at the circumstances<\/a>&nbsp;that led to the single mother&rsquo;s passing, however, indicates that she died on the table during a surgery only needed because she suffered severe complications from ingesting abortion pills associated with&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/33939340\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sometimes fatal&nbsp;complications<\/a>,&rdquo; Boyd wrote. &ldquo;Thanks to the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2021\/12\/17\/biden-administration-endorses-more-baby-killing-by-green-lighting-mail-order-abortion-pills\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Biden administration&rsquo;s<\/a>&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/propublica-blames-pro-lifers-for-abortion-pill-linked-death\/\" title=\"Pro...a Blames Pro-Lifers For ...-Linked Death\">radically relaxed abortion pill expansions<\/a>, Thurman was able to induce abortion hours away at home unsupervised.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>These facts didn&rsquo;t matter to the rest of the legacy media and Democrats, who gleefully took the propaganda gifted to them by ProPublica and used it to <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/09\/18\/media-democrats-blame-pro-lifers-after-the-abortion-pill-they-promote-killed-a-woman-and-her-babies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">attack<\/a> Republican-supported pro-life laws. The outlet&rsquo;s dishonest framing was even <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox5atlanta.com\/news\/kamala-harris-amber-thurman-death-call-her-daddy-podcast\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">parroted<\/a> by 2024 Democrat presidential nominee <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/09\/20\/the-abortion-lies-kamala-will-spew-in-atlanta-are-the-ones-that-killed-amber-thurman-and-candi-miller\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Kamala Harris<\/a> and her running mate <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/10\/02\/tim-walz-repeats-lie-blaming-pro-lifers-for-woman-killed-by-abortion-pills\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tim Walz<\/a>, the latter of whom spouted multiple falsehoods about the matter during his debate with now-Vice President J.D. Vance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>[READ:[READ:<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/09\/20\/amber-thurman-died-from-the-abortion-pill-not-pro-life-laws\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Amber Thurman Died From The Abortion Pill, Not Pro-Life Laws<\/a>]<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Last week, the Ethics and Public Policy Center <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/04\/28\/study-rate-of-serious-or-life-threatening-complications-after-abortion-pill-is-22-times-higher-than-fda-claims\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">published<\/a> the &ldquo;largest known study of the abortion pill,&rdquo; in which researchers <a href=\"https:\/\/eppc.org\/stop-harming-women\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">found<\/a> a shocking &ldquo;10.93 percent of women experience sepsis, infection, hemorrhaging, or another serious or life-threatening adverse event within 45 days following a mifepristone abortion, far greater than the summary figure of &lsquo;less than 0.5 percent&rsquo; in clinical trials reported on the drug label.&rdquo; <\/p>\n<p>Unsurprisingly, much of legacy media <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/05\/02\/media-blackout-on-abortion-pill-study-proves-they-never-cared-about-amber-thurmans-death\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ignored<\/a> or the analysis&rsquo; troubling findings.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\">\n<div class=\"article-author-description fst-italic\">      Shawn Fleetwood is a staff writer for The Federalist and a graduate of the University of Mary Washington.
