The Wall Street Journal had reported that the board opened a search for a new CEO, coinciding with Musk&#8217;s increased focus on Tesla while winding down his other commitments, particularly with his work related to the Department of Government Efficiency in the White House.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement on X (formerly Twitter), Denholm called the report &#8220;absolutely false&#8221; and claimed that Tesla communicated this fact to the media prior to the publication. Musk said at a Tesla earnings call last month that he would spend significantly more time at Tesla and wind down his work with DOGE.
