In the 2021-2022 fiscal year, Planned Parenthood performed over 392,000 abortions—over half of all abortions reported in the U.S.for that year—and 97.1% of its pregnancy-related services where abortions.

Further down the newsletter, ads promoting bodily autonomy appear, which critics argue implicitly advocate for abortion rights. Planned parenthood reported nearly $2.1 billion in income for 2022-2023 and has faced accusations regarding the sale of fetal body parts and unsafe abortion practices, including a recent case involving a woman’s death due to complications from an abortion.

Politico, known for reporting favorably on abortion-related issues, often employs pro-abortion terminology and fails to provide a balanced view in its articles. The newsletter sponsorship has fueled discussions about media bias, especially regarding abortion and reproductive rights. Criticism extends to Politico’s past publications that seemed one-sided, particularly following the overturning of Roe v. Wade, and mentions the publication’s role in revealing sensitive court opinions.

The piece highlights growing scrutiny of both Planned Parenthood’s operations and media reporting on reproductive rights.

Planned Parenthood, the largest executor of abortions in the United States, is sponsoring Politico’s Playbook newsletter this week, despite the fact that the media outlet routinely covers Planned Parenthood without a Disclaimer.

Politico author Jack Blanchard did not respond when asked how much Planned Parenthood had paid for the spot. That article laid out Planned Parenthood’s legislative priorities in California with quotes from the CEO of Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California and four sympathetic legislators. Specifically, the survey fished for stories from anyone who might have “been denied emergency treatment for a miscarriage or pregnancy-related complication.” It is a <a href="https://www.conservativenewsdaily.net/breaking-news/ob-gyns-shatter-nine-of-the-most-common-abortion-myths-the-left-peddles-to-spook-women/" title="OB-GYNs Shatter Nine Of The Most Common ...
