So far, it has highlighted 114 programs that Democrats said have seen their funds frozen, canceled, or terminated entirely in Trump&rsquo;s second term.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>One of the Democrats&rsquo; examples includes the Trump administration <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/white-house\/3332957\/us-weather-climate-agency-noaa-fires-probationary-workers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">canceling<\/a> &ldquo;Emergency Funding Provided for [the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration&rsquo;s] Procurement, Acquisition, and Construction Budget.&rdquo;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Murray and DeLauro said that Trump &ldquo;refused to designate $2.934 billion of emergency funding provided in the FY25 continuing resolution (CR), which includes $100 million provided for NOAA&rsquo;s procurement, acquisition, and construction budget.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The President cannot cherry pick the emergency funding he likes without putting all $12.4 billion in emergency funding in the continuing resolution at risk,&rdquo; the information on the running list reads.<\/p>\n<p>Trump has defended the cuts as part of his campaign promise to shrink the size of government. These cuts affect already-approved congressional spending, but Republicans in Congress are working on more cuts, to the tune of $1.5 trillion, to help offset their priority of extending Trump&rsquo;s 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.<\/p>\n<p>The Congressional Budget Office, the nonpartisan in-house think tank, announced that congressional <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/republicans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Republicans<\/a>&nbsp;would <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/house\/3339526\/gop-must-cut-medicare-and-medicaid-to-meet-budget-target\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">not meet their budget target<\/a> without <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/gop-must-cut-medicare-and-medicaid-to-meet-budget-target-washington-examiner\/\" title=\"GOP must cut Medicare and Medicaid to meet budget target - Washington Examiner\">making large cuts<\/a> to Medicare and Medicaid, two popular programs widely used in Republican states and districts.
