And that does not even count the crimes of the post-World War II era.<\/p>\n<p>Sunday morning on his social media platform , however, Trump once again promised that his aggressive tariff policies would produce a political and economic earthquake strong enough to shake the federal government&rsquo;s revenue structure to its foundations, allowing the president and his allies to build something better in its place.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;When Tariffs cut in, many people&rsquo;s Income Taxes will be substantially reduced, maybe even completely eliminated. Focus will be on people making less than $200,000 a year,&rdquo; Trump wrote.<\/p>\n<p>In other words, the president&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/op-ed-president-trump-mastered-art-tariff\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tariffs<\/a> and revised trade deals will generate enough revenue to potentially scrap the income tax. That could hold true for everyone in the long run. THE EXTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE IS HAPPENING!!!&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p><iframe class=\"truthsocial-embed\" style=\"max-width: 100%; border: 0;\" src=\"https:\/\/truthsocial.com\/@realDonaldTrump\/114410073592204291\/embed\" width=\"600\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><script src=\"https:\/\/truthsocial.com\/embed.js\" async=\"async\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/trump-says-preparing-announce-game-changing-avalanche-deals\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Trump<\/a>, of course, has mentioned the External Revenue Service in the past.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, on Jan. 20 &mdash; the day of his inauguration &mdash; the president issued a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/presidential-actions\/2025\/01\/america-first-trade-policy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">memorandum<\/a> called &ldquo;America First Trade Policy.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The Secretary of the Treasury, in consultation with the Secretary of Commerce and the Secretary of Homeland Security, shall investigate the feasibility of establishing and recommend the best methods for designing, building, and implementing an External Revenue Service (ERS) to collect tariffs, duties, and other foreign trade-related revenues,&rdquo; the memorandum read in part.<\/p>\n<p>In other words, the president regarded the ERS as a Day One priority for his new administration.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, by pursuing aggressive tariff policies, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/revealed-finally-know-trumps-4d-tariff-chess-plan-will-crush-chinas-head-already-brought-europe-knees\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Trump<\/a> hopes to extract major concessions from rivals like China.<\/p>\n<p>One senses, however, that the president has always had something much bigger in mind.<\/p>\n<p>Regular viewers and attendees of his campaign rallies will attest to the fact that Trump often referred to America&rsquo;s most powerful enemies as domestic, not foreign. By that, he unquestionably meant the corrupt establishment that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/turley-jack-smith-stretched-law-new-trump-indictment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">persecuted him<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/trump-trial-devolves-total-chaos-right-eric-trump-takes-stand\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">his family<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/democrats-terrified-pardoned-j6-defendants-appear-capitol\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">his supporters<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks in part to its decades-old confiscatory tax policies, that establishment has hollowed out middle America.
