the document first obtained by <em>Breitbart<\/em> notes.<\/p>\n<p>Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy will be directed &ldquo;to rescind and replace guidance to strengthen inspection procedures for compliance with English proficiency requirements.&rdquo; He&rsquo;ll also evaluate protocols for verifying the authenticity of commercial driving licenses.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, Duffy will be ordered to improve the working conditions of truck drivers through &ldquo;additional administrative, regulatory, or enforcement actions,&rdquo; under the executive order.<\/p>\n<p>The document says that a guideline that commercial drivers read and speak English &ldquo;has not been enforced.&rdquo; The order &ldquo;mandates revising out-of-service criteria to ensure drivers violating English proficiency rules are placed out-of-service, enhancing roadway safety.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Rep. Harriet Hageman (R-WY) <a href=\"https:\/\/hageman.house.gov\/media\/in-the-news\/hageman-wants-ditch-policy-keeps-non-english-speaking-truckers-road#:~:text=Longstanding%20FMCSA%20regulations%20%E2%80%9Cspecifically%20required,records%20logs%2C%20the%20letter%20adds.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">sent a letter<\/a> to the Transportation Department earlier this month urging it to reconsider its guidelines regarding commercial truck inspectors not being allowed to pull over non-English-speaking drivers.<\/p>\n<p>Not being able to do so is a &ldquo;major safety issue for all drivers, which is precisely why these regulations were promulgated in the first place,&rdquo; Hageman wrote, adding that the memorandum places &ldquo;millions of American motorists in jeopardy.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>In a <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/atutruckers\/status\/1916860982824993004\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">post on X<\/a>, American Truckers said, &ldquo;Incredible!!!
