For his betrayal of the country, he was paid roughly $42,000 by the individual in Hong Kong.<\/p>\n<p>Along with his 84 month sentence, Schultz was savaged by high-ranking officials.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This defendant swore an oath to defend the United States &mdash; instead, he betrayed it for a payout and put America&rsquo;s military and service members at risk,&rdquo; Attorney General <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/pam-bondi-drops-hammer-begins-bringing-rico-charges\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pam Bondi<\/a> said, per the DOJ release.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This sentencing is a stark warning to those who betray our country: You will pay a steep price for it,&rdquo; FBI Director <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/lawmakers-urge-kash-patel-investigate-5-deaths-covered-biden-administration-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kash Patel<\/a> added.<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps the most severe warning came from acting U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Tennessee Robert E.
